Nice style, good construction, comfortable fit
For the money, these are one of the best pair of sunglasses I've owned. I've been able to adjust them to a pretty close-to-perfect fit (still working on the nose pads), but they're pretty comfortable for extended wear. They're a bit heavy, but that's just good build - some of my other glasses were light but weak. The glass is holding up very nicely, good clarity, no scratches yet. UV protection seems to be good and the polarization ensures glare is well controlled. The styling is similar to the rectangle or oblong styles from a few years back that seem to be very hard to get anymore, which was part of the appeal for me. All the new glasses are either round or aviator styles - both of which I hate. Very seriously considering getting another pair - the price and quality make it tempting. Definitely glad I bought this pair!

Super quality and inexpensive but a couple things to note...
I rated these flying fisherman polarized glasses gunmetal with smoke lens (5) stars because they are excellent quality and inexpensive but I need to relay this additional info to other potential buyers. After initially wearing them for a whole day the tops of my ears ached a bit because the padded type arms where they meet the ears is thicker than what I am used to. I am sure I will get used to it but worth noting nevertheless. Also, these are polarized. Anyone not used to polarized glasses (I wasn't) should expect some differences. Our Nissan has had the side windows tinted with a dark type tint and when I wear these glasses and look through the tinted windows, I immediately noticed that all other vehicles have a discolored kaleidoscope/color changing effect going on. The only thing I can figure is that maybe the vehicle tint is also polarized thus the double polarization is causing this effect. Worth noting but I still really like these glasses. Purchased March 2014 for 18.22. I saw them before for 16 dollars and then they went up right before I ordered. ******************************* UPDATE 3/24/2014 I have had these for over a week now and have noticed a few more things to note about the glasses I have. There seems to be a flaw in the left lens. It is a faint blurred area in the bottom of the lens and can be seen easily if you look left and to the bottom when wearing these glasses. Also, the same lens has another blurred/glare spot at the extreme left if in the sunlight just right. Irritating a bit but these are still pretty nice and I will keep them. Maybe they are selling off the flawed glasses here?

Quality Glasses at a Discount Price
Love these glasses! Throughout my life, I have never gotten accustomed to wearing sunglasses. I enjoy the bright, vivid colors of our world and I have never wanted to darken them with "shades". However, I recently decided to try sunglasses while driving on very bright, sunny days. I searched for quite a while to find glasses that I thought I'd be willing to wear. These glasses met all my criteria, including: 1) Light lens color, not too dark. 2) neutral color lens, not brown or green, which would distort nature's colors too much for me 3) Polarized lens 4) Silver or pewter color frame, not gold 5) Slim frame, not thick arms which might block peripheral vision 6) Full coverage of field of vision, limited space where bright light could slip in My only concern before ordering was whether the unisex style would appear too large for my face... It does not. My husband really loves how these look on me. Also, at this price for polarized lenses, I wasn't expecting a quality product that would hold up to hard and frequent use. I was wrong again! These glasses really feel substantial and well-made. The frame is a polished pewter color that looks expensive. Instead of a sharp angle at the hinge, the frame makes a gentle curve around to the arms and really looks cool. Because the arms curve around, I would think this frame would work well for someone with a wider face. Unfortunately, however, this same feature is the only thing I don't like about these. This gentle curve means that the frame doesn't hug my head near the ear. Instead it hits the top edge of my ear, becoming uncomfortable with extended wear. I can reposition them occasionally to alleviate the discomfort. I'm thinking about taking them to my local optician to gently bend the arms to keep them from touching the ears, and yes, I like these enough to go to this trouble. Bottom line? Still love these! If you find the information in this review to be helpful, please click "yes". Thanks!!

Surprisingly good quality...
I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice these glasses were in terms of quality. The metal frame is very solid and the lenses have good optical clarity. I was looking for some new glasses because the dark smoke lenses on my Oakleys and Under Armours were too dark. I was especially looking for something that would work well for golf as well as a lighter everyday lens. These really fit the bill quite nicely. They are still a little darker than I thought, but with the amber lens it doesn't seem as dark. They also fit very snugly to my face, so they work well for activities like golf where traditionally you would want a sportier style. I like the clarity and color of the lenses for golf. I have an easier time of following/finding my ball as well as reading greens with these glasses. While they are not as good as Oakley Men's Flak 2.0 XL Polished Black w/Prizm Golf Sunglasses , they are about nine times cheaper. They are good enough for me and hard to beat at the price. I have a big fat head, as you can see from the pic. These fit me just fine. Edit: I liked these glasses so much that after accidentally breaking them, I ordered another pair.

Remarkable for the price!
I can't believe how nice these sunglasses are, especially at this price! I never expected sunglasses priced under $20 to get so many compliments. They're quite solid feeling, especially for sunglasses at this price point, and they fit and stay in place quite nicely. Also, despite being metal frames, I find they are quite comfortable to wear for long periods. I did have to spend about 10 minutes making minute tweaks to the nose pieces, to get them to sit properly on my face, but after that, they're perfect. If you end up adjusting the nose pieces like I did, I recommend using a fine pair of needle-nose pliers and making tiny, almost imperceptible adjustments, since the more you bend metal the more it weakens. Just make micro adjustments, try them on again, micro adjust again, try on again, rinse/repeat as needed until dialed in. I bought these primarily for driving in low-light situations, for both the added clarity of the amber lens, as well as the headlight-glare-cutting capability of the polarization, but have found myself also wearing them around town during bright sunny days. Despite being amber lenses, they cut the sun's brightness quite well, while making everything a bit more vivid and clear. I would definitely recommend these to a friend and will surely buy again.

Great Performer!
This is my second pair of glasses from this company and thought I would write a review about them. The last pair of San Jose glasses lasted 3 years so when it came time to buy another pair, I went straight to my Amazon orders and snatched up a new pair. At $20 you will be hard pressed to find anything near the quality, durability, and comfort of these glasses. The first time I owned the Copper color and while this provided a great tint, the colors were muted and altered. This time I went for the gunmetal and am extremely happy with the way color is preserved. I'm a big guy so these glasses are a bit snug going on but that gives the advantage of them also staying on under extreme circumstances. These are extremely well made and far outperform any glasses you would purchase for a lot more money. The lenses provide crisp images and protect the eye almost as well as hiking glasses. These glasses will work well for those who have high cheek bones due to the smaller frame and position on the nose. I love these glasses and know you will too!

Cheap Lenses
These glasses were a little tight, but I kept them because I didn't have time to shop around for decent, low/mid-price glasses since my go-to spot (the sunglass stands in the fishing sections of Bass Pro Shops) seem to have disappeared after Covid. However, I have worn these glasses less than five times, and the lenses have already permanently smudged or had the finish wear off of them. I store this pair of sunglasses in a clean, above-console holder in my car, and have only wiped them with a clean, new cloth (same quality brand I use for my prescription eyewear and have had no issues with). I wish I could return these, but of course they're a week past the return window. I'm not sure what the answer is for affordable, polarized glasses, but it's not these.

Comfortable & fits my small bridge ! But customer service...?
Update: I did manage to lose the rubber piece covering one of the arms - my fault. But I tried contacting Flying Fisherman customer service for a replacement - no word back for a week. I shouldn't need to buy another pair just to replace one piece... subtracting a star until I hear back from them. I'm always looking for sunglasses that fit my small (almost nonexistent) nose bridge - that usually means adjustable nose pads. These fit with a little bit of tweaking. I like that they wraparound and re keep the light out of the sides. I use them for driving and the tinting seems to really cut the glare. I've had them for a couple of months, so don't know about durability yet. But I'm happy with these since they are light and pretty comfortable. The price is right and I would buy again - or just maybe go fishing!
