Are the iron heating element and hot air gun heater in the pictures spare parts ?
Hi! I need to know the data of the transformer inside. Output voltage, and power consumption of the transformer. Thank you.
Is this station 220v compatible??
Can the seller please clarify the calibration procedure? There are 2 calibration screw positions. Which is for gun and which is for iron?

Nice well constructed and easy to use!

I am very proud on this soldering station and everything has worked very well. Heats up quickly and and hot air station works great for smds as well. I have used this machine for rebuilding old tube amps and guitar repairs. If you use the proper tip for the job this machine has made some very awesome solder joints. I used a soldering Iron for years and finally made the jump to a real soldering station and only wish I had done it sooner. I am not a daily user but I do use it frequently and am proud of the results. Now my work looks professional instead of globs of unstuck solder, now i have shiny small and well attached wires. I think this little unit is a exceptional bargain for all the things you get with it as well as the job it does.

Easy to use

I like it a lot, but you will have to use it in order to learn how to use it. The instructions are very bad written. I tested the temperature with a thermocouple and it is within 20 to 50 degrees Celsius from the setting temperature. The display is only for the heating gun. Therefore, the calibration procedure for the iron solder have to be made with a temperature sensor. The upper cal pot is for the heating gun.Otherwise, it is a nice and elegant soldering station.

Most impressive Rework Station Value

I have to say I am completely impressed with this value combo station. I really am happy with the quality of manufacture and materials. By no means is it bullet proof, and you can't run your automobile over it, but the construction for the price is admirable! Now with that said, the only issues others may having with this station are the following: First, when the soldering iron is turned to the lowest possible setting, with the power switch engaged, the iron is still hot enough to keep solder melted. Flipping the power switch takes care of this. This may be by design, and it really does not bother me, but it is something to consider. Second, the blower disengages when the display hits 100C when seated back in its cradle. Again, if the power switch is disengaged, element power is disconnected, but I have found that you are able to cool the element completely because the fan will work until it is seated in its cradle. The 100C cutoff is by design. One final warning: It is very easy to absentmindedly block up the blower fan when holding the wand. Why only 4 stars? The manual is difficult to decipher, and it references some obtuse calibration procedure for the soldering iron, which may take care of the above temperature discrepancy, but good luck figuring it out. A numbered figure is provided for the iron but no corresponding nomenclature?Do I recommend this product, yes I do, but know what you are getting! Happy soldering!Addendum: After about a week of hard use I am adding the following two observations. First, the solder tips provided with the station are of low quality and will wear out pretty quick under heavy use. Second, I figured out how to calibrate the heater elements for both the blower and the iron. The top hole is for the blower heater calibration, and the bottom is for the solder iron element. These are course adjustments and will not give you any fine tuning. I did all tuning at the high end temperature because any tuning a the low side produced very little result. The temperatures available are fairly accurate, and are perfect for my needs.I still endorse this seller, and the product is great for a hardcore hobbyist.

Works great...looks cool on the bench but needs a decent manual.

OK... I gave it 5 stars because it works great!! But it perhaps deserved a 4 because of the "manual". I spent about 4-6 hours with a magnifying glass trying to read and understand the instructions. Give a native English speaking person two hours to rewrite the manual and the company could published one that made sense the first time.Seems to be a very high quality solder station that came with spare parts and tools. After a week of steady work, I have no complaints. Heats up quick and simply does the job. I read somewhere this was rated number 5 of the top ten solder stations. I must agree it deserves fine marks except for the printed matter. In the end it is really not that complicated but understanding it all will take some patience. Yes, I would buy another one if I needed it.

Solid Kit

The kit is very feature rich, it comes with everything you could need for basic soldering and rework. The hot air gun heats up pretty fast. Having nothing to compare it to, it gets hot enough to melt silver solder in 20 seconds flat, from a cold start. I was told when using hot air to set temperature to max, and adjust temperature using the air control. Temperature control is digital, which comes purely down to preference, but it works for me as it's quick and easy to set any temperature low or high. The nozzles fit snug, and when you switch off air power, the air remains flowing until the element cools down. The soldering iron I actually do have a comparison to. The cable is about as flexible as my Hakko (probably not AS flexible, but without them side-by-side I notice no difference when I pick it up). The ceramic element is probably my one complaint about this unit. It's a little loose, and doesn't quite reach the full depth of the tip. The tip heats up quick enough, but does seem to take at least 50% longer to reach melt temperature than the Hakko.About holsters: the air gun fits pretty well into its holder, though the soldering iron is quite a bit jiggly in its'. The upper portion of the iron holster includes a tip scraper, which is made of plastic, but seems almost resistant to the iron when set at 425C. Two (included) Phillips head screws are required to attach the air gun holder to the control box, but everything else is included fully assembled. All in all, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
