Great for a Renaissance festival
Bought this for a Ren Fest in Texas in May ( so weather was in the 80s). For the price (cheap - $34ish dollars), it was just what i was looking for. You can tell the stitching is not great, the material is thin, but again - for only wearing it 1-2 times a year AT MOST, I found it to be just what I needed. B/c the material is thin, if you are going to a colder climate, i would recommend wearing a petticoat or slip or spaghetti strap underneath it for layers. As other people wrote in, the arm bands on the arms are a big snug. I have small arms and so it fit me fine, but i can see it being uncomfortable for others. The dress is a little low cut, so depending on how the top hits you, you might need to wear a spaghetti strap underneath. For scale / sizing, here are my dimensions, and the small fit me perfectly: 5'5", 135 lbs, size C/D on top. I am "curvy", so small waist but bigger in the bum and the boobs. The dress did drag the floor a little bit ( i wore flats with it), but i really liked that it did that because it looked more RenFest-like. I handwashed the dress in the sink when i got home and let it air dry. I was scared to put it in the washer for fear it would get torn apart (again, back to this being a cheaper-leaning costume). Oh - and it comes with a crown! Of note, one of the jewels on the crown came off when i took it out of the package (again, cheap), but i just got some super glue and re-glued all the gems (took < 2 minutes to do this) to make sure they wouldn't fall out on the day of (they all stayed in). The dress was a hit with my friends, and i look forward to wearing it again for a halloween party or at the renfest next year!

Great quality, pretty on, weird fit
This costume is actually really nice quality, and inexpensive. The fabric is thick enough not to be sheer, and the velvet was decent quality. A "crown" and broach comes with the dress, which has an attached cape.Unfortunately it fit weird in the shoulders which made the neckline drop too low. I wear a size 14 and bought an XL which fit me at the waist and bustling. I'm 5'5" and I would have needed to wear heels. I am returning the costume because another one fit better, and with the attached cape, it would not be easy to fix the neckline issue.

well made
My expectations were low based on the price but it is very well made for a costume. Bought a medium (5’1”- 135) and it fits perfectly. Very long but that’s ok, it works, adds to the drama!

... this for a photo shoot and it is really pretty. It seems to be well made
I bought this for a photo shoot and it is really pretty. It seems to be well made. It is a little big in the chest area but that is because I do not have a chest..lol..it will be easy to fix. And it is long which I love since I am tall. Overall I love it and can not wait to do the photo shoot with it.

Not good, don't get this!
I ordered a medium and the arms by your biceps, were way too tight… So I returned it and ordered a large… But this time, the arms were still very tight and it was missing the crown and the necklace. The company gave me a major hard time in getting my money back. I won't ever deal with this company again. Thank God for Amazon's customer service people stepping in to help me!

A word of advice
This costume has a very weird fit... Particularly around the bust area. I ordered a small (I am a 32 D) and the bust is just incredibly loose...like, INCREDIBLY LOOSE. I bought this costume for its assumed modesty and it's disappointing that it requires at least a 36DD to fill the bust. However, the waist and below fit like a true small. The length is a little short, which I prefer because I'm only 5'1 so it works for me. It's about 3 inches longer than my feet. The bands around the arm are SUPER tight...uncomfortably tight but the sleeves themselves are an appropriate length for a size small. After some alterations, I think this will be a pretty cool dress but I'm disappointed in the disproportionate sizing throughout the dress. It's under $40 so I think it's fine for the cost but I definitely wouldn't pay more if the price goes up closer to Halloween...It's not worth the risk. I can't imagine anyone being able to just put on this dress and it fitting perfectly- you'd have to have a 34" waist or under and 36DD to fill the bust with skinny arms, all while being about 5'2 for this dress to just fit well out of the box.I do like the dress but there are unfortunate draw backs. I thought I'd offer them so you can decide if it's worth it. I decided to keep it but to make some simple alterations.***Update:If I were you, I wouldn't order this costume. I tried it on twice, the first time I noticed some rips in the arm and thought I'd be able to make some minor alterations in addition to the bust. However, when I was inspecting the dress to sew the holes it came with, I noticed there were several throughout the whole garment (near the bust, on the other sleeve, down the back, almost anywhere there was a seam). This material is just too cheap and I put it up to a light and saw that the other seams were really on their last leg, too. This was cheaply made and just isn't worth the small price it costs in the first place. You'd have to pretty much remake the costume. That's my experience anyway.

Pleasantly Surprised by the Fabric
The fabric of this costume is very nice, and doesn't feel cheap. It's not sheer, so you don't have to wear anything underneath the dress, if you don't want to. The bust area runs large and the sleeves were a little tight on my arm. The stitching at the bottom of the dress was a little off/crooked---but not very noticeable. I'm a size 8 dress, 36C bra. I ordered the medium and was pleased with the overall fit. I did end up returning the dress, but only because I bought it to wear on Halloween. I ended up not going anywhere and therefore not wearing/needing the dress.
