While this is meant for tablets, it will do well for phones too!The fact it turns on it's base is nice, but what caught my attention was the "J" that holds your tablet securely (at least until you tilt it much too far forward). This will NOT allow most modern tablets to slide off the stand thanks to that lip. It even supports my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (the THICK) tablet without issue! And that's without exposing the grippy silicone from the base or the front of the stand that touches the back of your tablet! If your plan is to put this down somewhere to use and keep it there, that sticky (but removable/reusable) surface silicone will KEEP it in it's place for most surfaces. Excellent design and forethought! This arrives with hinges tight. Not immovably so, but very firm and you may need to loosen them slightly. To me this is a good thing as starting off too loose may make people doubt it's strength. Again, they thought ahead for us.Now for the disappointing. It feels a bit unfinished. They coated it well with paint, but some edges are rough. Not sharp, just.. not smooth.

I got this to use as a stand for an I Pad 10. It has a great range of motion and it's quite sturdy.So you have a flat base, and it's quite compact but doesn't move easily if you bump it. That's mostly because of the weight of the I pad on the stand. You can raise or lower the stand, tilt it forward or back to suit your preferred angle, and it has a stem you can turn to allow the device to face different ways. That's quite a lot of motion and flexibility and I find it great for use when watching a movie or if I would like to turn the device to let someone else see.How i have it set is for the folio case to be mounted on the stand. That's quite secure, and it allows me to turn the I Pad sideways or vertical to suit whatever I'm doing.This really is a great accessory if you have a device with multiple uses.
