We've always purchased Emerson, but sadly no more. I would recommend this microwave
1 year and 1 month from the purchase the inside paint started bubbling. The warranty is one year. I called Emerson and they were not interested in replacing this "past warranty" microwave. Exposed medal under the paint causes sparking the manufactures do NOT recommend painting over these This is the second one from Emerson and I will not purchase another.

It was fine while it lasted though
We received our original Emerson microwave for a wedding gift and it stopped working within the first year of owning it. Emerson replaced it under warranty but the second started shooting sparks after only a couple of years. Needless to say, with two microwaves of this same model dying within such a short amount of time, we will not be getting another Emerson microwave ever again. It was fine while it lasted though.

Love the look
This is smaller than I thought, but I bought it because it was red! It's beautiful in my kitchen and for the little bit I use it for (reheating coffee, soup), it is perfect. I couldn't go all the way to 5 stars because it sounds a little "tinny" like the sides are made cheaply.
