This is a great pack for EDC or for hiking/camping, I used it as my Bushcraft pack, it has a lot of pockets for organization. Made out of some THICC material. The one thing that made me put this bag to the side and stop using it was that it appeared in the product pictures that the pockets all close with a belt system but in reality they close with crappy magnetic buttons that don’t hold that well and it was a PAIN to line them up. I found that the belts are actually functional so I decided to JB weld the buttons and use the belts. The buttons are completely obsolete now and I use the belts which work great and make the pack Functional and authentic which is what it should have been in the first place. Hope that helps someone.

This bag is amazing. It looks like the old Alice bags, and is about the same size. Amazing quality, thick, and light weight. Perfect size for hiking. It has magnetic clips to hold it closed. If you use a little epoxy on those clips you can make it so only the buckles work. It looks and feels like a 200$ bag. Good stitches, very strong.

Just like clothing, it is sometimes difficult to judge the quality of a backpack on amazon before seeing it in person. I went out on a limb and decided to order this one, and the risk paid off! First of all, the fabric of the backpack is awesome! Durable enough for outdoor adventures but classy enough to wear around campus. The straps work just fine, they simply snap on to the backpack, making it easy to open and close. Furthermore, I was blown away by how much it could fit! Two side pockets can easily carry water bottles, the front pocket is great for a phone/wallet and other small items. There are also two additional pockets inside the main pouch; one for a laptop and one zipped pocket for smaller items to keep safe from pickpocketers. This is hands down the best value for a backpack on amazon.

I bought this pack to use on day trips and light overnight excursions in the woods as a more classic, less "tacticool" alternative to my ALICE packs and Mil Tec "assault" pack. I did't realize that the leather straps and buckles on this pack were there for aesthetics only and are not functional. The main top flap and side pockets are secured by weak magnetic "snaps". The front pocket has regular snaps too but the buckle is held in place by the same weak magnetic snap the top flap is secured with. This may be great for urban commutes or tooling around the countryside on short day trips but if you need a bag that can securely hold a bed roll, sleeping mat or poncho for more demanding outdoor adventures I would look elsewhere. The pack overall looks to be well made with thick canvas and quality components; it's just not what I was looking for in an outdoor rucksack. There is enough internal capacity to hold enough gear for day hikes or a light overnighter but I like having the ability to secure a bed roll or blanket under the top flap and /or lash things to the outside of my pack like an extra layer of clothing or an axe or canteen. I suppose you could epoxy the magnetic snaps closed like one reviewer mentioned (should have read the reviews before purchasing) but I don't think I would I have as much confidence in it holding my gear as I would if it were properly stitched.

Heavy backpack but the fabric is extremely sturdy and well quality. The zips are well quality metal as well. I love it has so many pockets, which is great for storage of different items and seperate them. The color and design would last forever because its the fashion since 20 years ago and still going on now a day.

I purchased 2 of these (same style, different colours) for myself and my wife. We had the intention of using them as a carry on item for our flight to Emerald City Comic Con 2019. They meet the required measurements, and we felt that their durable canvas surface would not only endure the flight, but the entire week we wanted to spend up in Washington, in and out of the convention.I'll start off by saying that if you plan to get in and out of the bag frequently, or need to find something quickly, this isn't the best purchase for you. That being said, if you plan on stuffing a bunch of stuff in it (say, you're buying a ton of souvenirs at a convention), then it's perfect. The material holds up against all of the jostling around, and it's sturdy enough to handle the weight of most things you put in it. It's large and open on the main interior, so you can stuff in all sorts of things; figures, poster tubes for art pieces, loads of buttons and pins, extra cosplay materials, stuff you get tired of holding in your hands... If you need your wallet or phone, it's got pockets up top, on the interior, that zip up so you can get to it quicker but they aren't Large. There's room, in a separate slide pocket, for your laptop or tablet (for easier access).There are side pockets, but I'm not sure what you'd use those for, as they aren't very secure. If you were hiking, sure it'd be good for fire strikers, compass, that kind of thing. Water bottles are too tall for the pocket to close afterward, but they are big enough to Fit the bottle if you don't mind not closing it. The medium-sized outer pocket was okay for storing cords or something we needed to get quickly, but as it isn't as secure, it's not very good for use at a convention.Again, if you're using these for hiking or something where you're not in a big crowd of people, it's fine, no worries about pick pockets or whatnot.The material, I will say, is nice. It's rain resistant up to a point, because it's canvas, so if you have to sprint somewhere because it started raining, you should be fine. Don't bother undoing the buckles unless you're adjusting it, because it has the snaps. Confused the TSA guy, was pretty funny.These bags do have considerable weight to them, just so you know, especially when they have things in them. But they are pretty hefty due to their material and size, so if you are a small, or not-stronger individual, maybe look elsewhere? Also, the buckle part of the shoulder strap that adjusts? It digs into your arm pit at certain adjustment levels, so be prepared for that.Overall though, I'll still give it 5 stars. It's a quality item for a good price, and it will probably last me a long time, over a decade or more, with proper care.

This bag has a lot space to store items in. I wouldn’t use it for a lot of books or anything heavy because the shoulder straps have very little padding and it will bite into the wearers shoulder. This is good for trips to the gym, beach, practice, day hiking. Not for school or office use. No padding at the bottom of the backpack either, don’t use it to carry a laptop or tablet.It is very durable and there is a drawstring tie that is convenient to open or close quickly and keep things in place.

I bought this to replace an aging backpack with self destructing zippers. Figuring zippers to be a weak point I was looking for a replacement with buckles and snaps and no zippers. I also wanted something that had some charectar and an 'older' look and feel. (Hey! I'm old enough to remember when ALL rucksacks looked like this!)I had some reservations about buying a high-price (for me) item sight unseen. I've been burned in the past with discovering an item bought online didnt quite live up its "quality" description in the write up.No worries here!!!! This little beauty is everything I wanted and then some! I figured the leather buckles would be cheap and leather dried out and of poor quality.Nope!Then, because there was no picture of it on a model I was worried it was going to be smaller than I wanted.Nope! Its bigger and roomier than the aging backpack its replacing!It's still new to me and at this point i am VERY impressed and feel it is well worth the price!! If i have any problems I'll come back here and report on them. But for now....Wow!
