Amazing product. Fits my firearm snugly with room for a spare mag. The device is secure and easy to setup and install. Associated app with the safe if easy to configure and use. 10 out of 10 highly recommend.

Look, it's a great idea.... HOWEVER, the biometrics are very unreliable, like it takes a few tries most times to get it to read my fingerprint and sometimes it just doesn't. For that reason I bought the Nano Key, a paired button that allows you to open the safe and it works instantly EVERY time - MUCH more consistent than the biometrics. If I hear someone in our home I will use the Nano Key to retrieve my firearm.If I knew then what I know now, I would PROBABLY still buy this safe but only because of the Nano Key. I'm comfortable that if needed I can get to my secured pistol quickly using the Nano Key (sold separately).I have a larger biometric gun safe, different brand and not a slider, but that biometric safe opens the first time every time... Vaultek needs to improve the biometric opening to 100% every time.

No need for the VISN model as the remote features are really for monitoring remotely. It requires an internet/wifi connection if used outside of your home (like moving around in a vehicle-you'll need to get a dedicated wifi hotspot) I installed it as a safe in my vehicle concealed storage. Biometric is absolutely required if a quick draw is needed OR choose to pair it with their hidden bluetooth button (sold separately) for a quick access.You'll have to figure out a way to install it in a car, but should be easy for home placement. Build quality is quite sturdy. Holds 1 firearms and magazine (not loaded). Overall, I like it because you can easily store your gun in the car (depends on your State for permit holders) when you need to go to "Sensitive" places that don't allow you to carry firearms (i.e., government buildings, schools, parks, etc...)

After working with the Vaultek customer service, we came to a good resolution and they forwarded the documentation issue to their product development team. I'll buy from VAULTEK again based solely on the level of service I received!This was great at first. My M18 fit without issue with no optic. I checked all of the dimensions on the fit template before purchasing. Once my Romeo Pro optic was mounted it was a different story. The optic in this case does not fit in the optic pocket causing my M18 to sit too high for the slider to close.The fit guide should be updated to show the dimensions of the optic pocket to show how an optic might affect fitment.Unfortunately my optic came after the return window so I’m stuck with putting my pistol in backwards unless I can find a way to modify.

Shipped fast. These are great quality and the fingerprint reader is so much better than the one on my Wyze safe. I love having it my Jeep ready to go.
