Lately, I’ve had some issues with bedding and clothing being marketed as cotton and then being something else when I get it, which is making me a bit paranoid with shopping online. I wasn’t planning on using the shams, so I did a small burn test on one of them. I’m happy to report that the fabric on the top of the sham (same material as bedspread) is definitely cotton, and the batting is high enough percentage cotton that it burned instead of melting (and smelled like cotton when burning).I need breathable natural fiber bedding or I have issues sleeping, so I’m relieved this appears to be fully cotton. It’s lightweight but still has just enough weight to feel like I’ve got a blanket over me. I laundered it, and it’s a little stiff right now, but I’m sure it will soften up with use.

Love love love!! It’s cotton!!! So hard to find affordable bedding that is cotton!! It’s beautiful too! So soft and is getting better with every wash!

I rated this two stars because the pattern is cute and stitching is quality however, a major con is this quilt is probably the thinnest blanket/quilt I’ve ever seen (about as thin as a flat sheet. The pillow shams it comes with are even thicker than the quilt. Very disappointed, it definitely needs batting if you plan to use it as an actual quilt or for the winter.
