I have lifted heavy weights daily since yr 2000. I have tried just about everything on the market, and I go through 2 pairs of weight lifting gloves a year. These weight lifting wrist straps allow me to lift over 200 lbs heavier than wearing name brand weight gloves with built in wrist straps.Now for the leather weight lifting belt. I have owned neoprene weight lifting belts and I can tell you from personal experience, they ALL stuck. The velcro never holds up to repeated use, and if you're lifting like a beast, they will not hold up. This leather weight lifting belt is by far the best that I have owned. I gave all of my neoprene belts away to people just starting out that didn't own one at all. Can't believe it took me this long to find this product.

To be honest, I don't find this belt to be useful. It feels thin (6mm, not 10 or 13mm), flimsy, and very gimmicky. I can't properly brace against the belt like I could with other models. I have a decent powerlifting total (1,400+) so I know what I'm looking for in equipment. The lower price point grabbed my attention so I could try something new and hopefully save money.Unfortunately, I'll be buying another belt and returning this product. I cannot recommend this product, even to the most causal user.

Really good build on this belt here. It is at least as thick as stated and as you can see from my photo, from outside to inside, it is closer to 7mm, so great job on that. Have only used it once so far, however, it felt extremely sturdy and had little to no give throughout the length nor iin the buckle prong to leather interface, which is where many cheap belts will fail.

 I got the items in a bag with the wrist straps in a separate bag. The belt itself is in a very good condition. The leather is thick and will need some breaking in. Overall great quality for the price. The stritching is secure and the hardware will not go anywhere. I doubt it would warp unless abused. I already used it once and since i have a short torso, it kind of almost covered the whole area which i dont mind as it gave real back support. I had no low back pain after doing deadlifts and squats for the first time that day.

First I must say that the quality of these belts is excellent. Secondly, the customer service provided by GYM Maniac is the best, they not only answered all my questions, they also solved my problem with belt sizes and recommended which belt I should use.

The belt is very well made. As a former Sergeant of the USMC and lifting for the last 15 years. I highly recommend itPros:The belt is oil fixed leather (smells great by the way) and sewn very well with great double stitching.The holes to adjust the belt are correctly spaced and start in a good position.The thickness (in width and depth) are just right to compliment one another.This belt has a good balance between some flex (like a nylon belt) and some hardness (the high end leather belts).EVEN COMES WITH A HOW TO USE!!! BRACE YOUR CORE!Cons:There is some annoying pressure/poking near your hips but it is barely there. And honestly it's probably because it's not broken in yet.All in all, it a great piece of gym equipment to have. A real high quality belt for a superb price. Way under the regular price of its competitors. A must buy for any real weight lifters.

I'm amazed, this belt from Gym Maniac is amazing. Came in original brand printed bag together with Directions for use (for some people this can be very helpful). Inside of the package is other bag with lifting straps. Leather is very good quality and design looks nice as well. I have’ve seen the same type of the belt from Dark Iron and I don't see any difference, well I see one and that is the "price". This belt is for very good price and together with that you get lifting straps as a bonus. Hope Gym Maniac would have much more new items to come. I would buy it without thinking!
