Flexible, powerful, and affordable
If you've spent any time looking at these mini PC's, you'll know that you can get a ton of functionality for a very reasonable price. In this case, I got the model with 32 GB of DDR5 RAM and a 2TB SSD for $450 on sale. While there are cheaper models available that can do much of what this does, I think you would be hard pressed to find something that matches the price to performance ratio for a Windows PC.Beyond the price and specs, there's a few reasons I ended up buying this model. The first thing is the I/O (input/output). I love that I can output video from HDMI, DisplayPort and USB4. There's one of each port on the back as well as a USB4 port on the front. You can actually set this up with 4 monitors at once if you want. While I'm just using a single monitor over DisplayPort, I love the flexibility to connect it to any modern TV or monitor without needing adapters. The two USB 3.0 (type A) ports on front are great for controllers, external drives, memory card readers, etc. And finally, there's an Oculink port for connecting an external graphics card. Again, not something I plan using as I mainly game on console, but the option is there if I want to play modern AAA games at high settings.Speaking of gaming, this PC can absolutely play games, but you need to keep your expectations in check. Integrated graphics have come a long way in recent years, but you won't be playing Cyberpunk in 4K. What you can play is older games from the PS4/Xbox One era and prior at high to max settings (depending on the title) and current games like God of War Ragnarok and Cyberpunk at low settings. I was surprised at how many games I could get running at 1440p with framerates at 60 FPS and above. It certainly has limitations, but if you're ok with less demanding games and lower settings on modern games, it will deliver. And, as I mentioned before, you can add external GPU if you want more performance. In terms of expandability, you can put up to 96 GB of RAM for some reason (the 32 GB on board should be more than enough for almost everyone). You can also add a second M.2 NVME SSD. The 2 TB drive that came with this model is good, but I can see myself adding a second 2 TB SSD to top it out. I looked at quite a few other mini PC's and this isn't a standard feature, so I'm happy to have it.As far as complaints, I don't like that the type A ports on the rear are USB 2.0 speed. I get that they're for keyboards and mice, but it would be nice to have USB 3.0 ports as they could be used for more modern devices in case I had a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. The headphone jack on the front is nice for headsets, but there's no dedicated audio jack on the back. If your monitor doesn't have any audio ports or on-board speakers, you'll lose that functionality and always have a cable running from the front. What's even more baffling is that there's 2 ethernet ports on the rear. It seems more gimmicky than anything. This is pretty common to see on these mini PC's, so maybe there's something I don't get, but I imagine most people would rather have the dedicated audio port on the rear, than 2 ethernet ports.Despite these minor gripes, this is still a 5 star PC. It runs quietly and quickly, is incredibly powerful for the size and price, and the flexibility is truly impressive. Recommended.

Small and impressive powerhouse
The unit arrived well packed and protected, all accessories properly wrapped. This M7 small-factor PC packs an impressive punch, powered by AMD's Ryzen 7 Pro processor and 32GB of high-speed DDR5 RAM.Its designed for users who need serious computing performance in a compact footprint, I it's a 5" x 5" cube, that offers efficiency and connectivity without sacrificing power.Everyday computing tasks like web browsing, office applications, and multitasking feel effortless and smooth.Whether you're editing videos or working in Photoshop it handles the workflow. Lots of 4K video connections enable multi-screen, I’m currently on a single panel.Though this isn't a full gaming rig, me and my kid just tried a few of our Steam games, even some of the more resource intensive run with no issues, just watch for the video settings. I’m looking forward to connecting a GPU dock and test a spare RTX3060 on the OcuLink connection. You will never run out of memory here with the DDR5 32GB.As mentioned one of the standout features is it size. This small PC is ideal for users who need high performance in tight spaces, such as offices or home setups with limited desk space. The dual fan cooling design is quiet and doesn’t really interfere with our workflow. This specific configuration rocks with plenty of connectivity, including USB-C 4, HDMI, DisplayPort, and ample high-speed storage at 2TBAlthough this one is quite recent for us, this is our 4th GMKTec unit in the family and so far, so good with no issues to report. The early models with single fan run a bit on the hotter side but never gave up.Highly recommend this model if you are seeking versatility, performance and have limited space. This is also quite portable if you need to move it around the house or take it for the weekend get away with the kids, just remember to pack your HDMI cable just in case.
