You won't find better sound at this price
Pros: Balanced audio, audible sub bass, good bass, good mids, good highs, oval soundports, very lightweight and comfortable.5 out of 5Cons: Super-tangly thin cables, plastic construction, no frills3.5 out of 5Value for Money: Excellent, competes with anything in the sub-Rs.2000 range in India5 out of 5I am always on the lookout for inexpensive audio gear that sounds really good. Over the past decade or so, I've developed quite a strong opinion on the kind of sound I enjoy. My favourite music extends from jazz and western classical, to the ocassional hiphop, alternative rock, and both hindustani and carnatic classical. And each of these need the perfect sounding set or earphones to sound good.I got the HJE-125 more out of curiosity than need, because it was rated very highly in a review. And it cost me Rs. 509, including delivery. My expectations were not high. After all, what can you get for Rs. 509, considering that the really good in-ear monitors cost at least Rs. 5000!Much to my surprise, I loved the sound from the get go! But before we get there, let me talk about a few other postives and negatives.Packaging, Construction and First ImpressionsThe plastic packaging is standard, but sturdy enough to ensure that it reaches you intact and without damage. The moment I got it out, the negatives started piling up in my mind... The cable is thin and tangly, and the plastic construction did not promise much in terms of build quality. There are also no other frills. No cable guides, or clips to control microphonics (the inevitable sound that travels up the cable when it brushes against the shirt, if it it hits against something). My first surprise was when I popped out the standard silicon tip. The audio port holding it was oval instead of round. In use, it moulds the tip so that it fits into the ear more comfortably. And comfortable it certainly is. The lightweight construction combined, I hardly felt like they were in my ears even after hours of use.Sound QualityI played a variety of music on them. From Bach to Bobby McFerrin, and Ellington to Al di Meola, from The Doors to Eminem, from Kishori Amonkar to L Subramaniam. To begin with, i was happy with the sound isolation. The oval soundports do help in cutting extraneous ambient noise. The sound was surprising well-balanced. The bass was tight and not boomy. Mids were nicely present. And the highs were detailed but not sharp enough to hurt. The sound is slightly warm, but enjoyably so... Perfect for jazz. These buds are good for mridangams, trumpet, viola and rain sticks. The soundstage isnt as impressive as high end IEMs, but better than most i've heard in the sub Rs. 2000 range from India, certainly better than the stardard iPhone plugs. The separation between sounds is very good, but again, not as brilliant as high-end IEMs.Sub bass was a recessed and the sharpest highs did not have the pristine clarity that more expensive IEMs deliver. However, I am talking of IEMs that cost in the Rs. 3000 range and above. And even in those, Ive always been unhappy about one thing or the other.I need to make a special mention of the silicon eartips. They can make or break the sound from a in-ear headphones. Though cheap, the standard tips that come with the HJE-125 is rather good. Perfectly adequate. In ConclusionFor the money, these are possibly the most balanced sounding in-ear headphones that you can buy below Rs. 1500. I just wish the cables were a bit thicker, but the lightness of the cables actually also end up reducing microphonics.Despite not looking like much, this is the best in-ear headphone around for its price and it easily competes with anything else in the sub Rs. 2000 range available in India.

Fun sounding earphone with ample detail
These are the best earphones I’d say under 1500/- in terms of sound quality. It has musical bass which is very pleasant and preserves all the detail in the song.I have Shure SE215, Audeo PFE, AirPod and I wanted to try earphones from this price range as some are extremely underrated for the value they give for the price paid. I was amazed at the detail it produces in every song I heard till now. Its has more bass than (my brother’s) 2k skullcandy and produces more detailed sound.Skullcandy has upper hand in its build quality and bright treble but I think treble in this Panasonic earphones have been deliberately kept little laid back to let users listen for longer period of time. By no means treble is less, its very clear and will definitely please you.Comfort: After Audeo PFE these are the most comfortable In-ears I have tried. Very suitable for longer period of listening and it also blocks some noise too and thats better.

Good sound, fragile
Excellent headphones if they were fragile as heck. Invest in them if you don't handle your headphones roughly. They don't last more than a month of rough usage, aka stuffing them in pockets with a bunch of other things, yanking them out often, etc.

Excellent earphones!! Value for money-10/10
Awesome earphones! Excellent bass, sound quality and clarity, much better than expected at such a low price! Fits perfectly deep into ears, it's comfortable and noise cancellation is great (90%). It doesn't come out of ear when I am jogging due its light weight. Yes the wire is thin and need to be handled with care, also it entangles easily. I have used it for 3 months and its working perfectly! Value for money-10/10. Must buy it!

Bang for the buck earphones!
Bought from Starcase Enterprises. At less than 500 bucks you can't go wrong on these. Great little ITEs with excellent sound comparable to more expensive ones. These are basically flat response earphones with crisp and clear sound and they are comfortable in the ears. These need to be handled carefully as the overall build quality is not very tough, especially the wires, but for the price you can't really complain.

Worth for the price !!
Product is overall good. Worth for the price. Though I feel something missing, may be soumd clarity, which is there in sony. But in this price range this is the best. Doesn't affect your ears even after using for a long time. Controlled bass and treble. Decent clarity.

BEST Value Ever
I have purchased so many of these headphones over the years. Im not an audiophile but I do appreciate sound quality. These things cant be beat at a tremendous price. They also hold up to hundreds of unplug and wrap ups. can be chucked around without freaking out. Are actually comfortable. My teenage daughter prefers these to expensive wireless earbuds. I use the microphone version for Teams Meetings Every day. I just hope panasonic never stops making them.

Work well and sound good!
I bought these after reading Matija Ferjan's post, 11 Best Cheap Headphones (Under $50, under $30, under $20) in 2023, on Headphonesaddicts.com.I agree with him:BEST IN-EAR HEADPHONES UNDER $10Panasonic RP-HJE120 are incredibly cheap and basic earbuds that just work well and sound good.I bought these for my partner, who was in the hospital and used music to fall asleep.

Preis/Leistung Top
