Pigs Make Me Sneeze!-An Elephant and Piggie Book

My five-year-old twins are in 4K and this year is the first year we have heard of any books by Mo Willems. We've checked out all of the Elephant and Piggie books from the library and loved them so much we had to buy our own copies! Pigs Make Me Sneeze! is another funny book in the Elephant and Piggie series by Mo Willems. Without giving the story away, I will just say that this story talks about friendship as Gerald the Elephant wonders why he keeps sneezing around Piggie. This story, like all of the other Elephant and Piggie books is 57 pages long but the story is fairly short since each page only has a few words. The book is a beautiful hardcover with thick, sturdy paperback pages that will hold up over time since you will read this book A LOT! The illustrations are beautiful and the text is very age-appropriate. These books are meant for ages four to eight years old but younger and older kids could certainly enjoy them as well. My kids have also made progress with starting to read with these books! We spell out a lot of words and I point to each word as I read it on a number of pages. These books are great for beginning readers. Short story, just buy this book. Buy all of the books in the Elephant and Piggie series because your kids will love them! Our whole family enjoys them and I never get tired of reading these stories!

My five year old loves this book. Literally has it memorized! Great way to spend quality time before bedtime.

I was volunteering reading at a school today and the teacher said the class liked Elephant and Piggie books so I picked this one to read and then donate to the classroom. Kids Loved it! They had some laughs and were engaged with the story.

My Son was given a Mo Williams book for his 3rd birthday.. He loved it..and laughed at the facial expressions that Elephant would make. I bought him more books, and he loves each one. My son just turned 6 these Mo Williams books are still his favorite books. Always asks me to read them to him. Still cracks up each time. They are very well written and very cute stories. The pictures are very clear and cute. Especially Elephant's expressions and what he says, makes my son laugh every time. Im using these books now to help him read, and he is reading well each time. Highly Recommend these books.. All of them.. :)

My 3 year old absolutely love this book. The the story is simple, yet hilarious. We read this book at least 5 times a day and my little boy has memorized the story. Sometimes he sits by himself and reads it out loud. I bought this book as an Easter present. The words are short and easy to remember. They repeat sentences and that just makes it easier for little ones to remember them. We love the Elephant and the piggie books, but this one is by far our favorite one.

Finally, a book I don't grow tired of and is really fun to read with my son! Admit it, some books our kids find entertaining are just painful to read. We read about four books a night at bedtime to our 4 year old. We are constantly taking new kids books out of the library, but this one was actually chosen by my 8 year old who checked it out because he thought it was so funny that he knew his 4 year old brother would love it too. He was right, and it's now the whole family's favorite book. Since we've discovered this book, we've sampled many of the Elephant & Piggie series--and they are ALL excellent. This one, however, remains our family favorite. The story itself is witty and hilarious, but look closely at the pictures on each page. The expressions are absolutely priceless. My son's favorite is piggie wearing a helmet to protect himself from Gerald's sneeze. I credit this book with teaching my son to read because he began sounding out the words since he knew them by heart. I can't say enough about this book...I recommend it (and the whole Elephant & Piggie series) to everyone!

My son (5) loves these books. He has been learning to read and these books have helped his confidence immensely. He used to get discouraged easily, but with these books, he enjoys the story and keeps reading. He thinks he can only read these books 😃. Fun story lines too that I don’t mind listening to over and over again. Highly recommend

We purchased this book for a friend’s birthday gift. These are the perfect books for early readers, preschool/kindergarten/first grade. I haven’t met a kiddo that doesn’t love this author and these books!
