Love it! Durable rod. Doesn’t tangle easy because the eyelets are designed to hug the rod closely. I would recommend this to novice anglers looking for their first upgraded rod. Lightweight but not flimsy. The hook holder is my favorite part. It makes it easy to prevent tangling while traveling to the fishing spot. Value for money: It’s a high performing rod for the price.

I buy pretty much every rod or reel they come out with except for the ice fishing stuff because I live in southeast Texas. And for the reels I buy the bait and spinner of almost all of them that have the option. I understand wanting to buy really expensive ones, i have a couple, and they are nice. But everything else i own is kastking and it's what I use 90% of the time. You do not need to buy the expensive ones to have a really great rod or reel. Some low-mid price ones are junk of course but these are up there with the best. I also buy most of their other products because I've never been disappointed in any way when I buy from them. It's winter so I haven't used it yet but I know I'll love it and will come back and update this after I use it a couple times.

I am in LOVE with this rod. I have ADHD, so if one little thing is "off" about something I buy, it ends up hated and languishing in a dark closet somewhere. NO WAY. First, the color is drop-dead gorgeous. It's nicely balanced and lightweight. When you slide this thing together, it's NOT coming apart on you. Lots of guides result in a nice, smooth cast - into the next county. Seriously. Pair this with the right reel, and you can land a frog on the beach in Hawaii from San Francisco. Okay, maybe not that far. (Maybe halfway) It's got a sensitive enough tip that you can feel even the slightest thump on your lures, but has enough backbone to haul a Rottweiler through your second floor apartment window. (No, I didn't do it, nor do I recommend it. This will land you in a heap of trouble). Right now, I have a crappy reel on it and I still am in love. I have a good reel arriving tomorrow, and once I get that, I might never need to date again, this is all the love I'll ever need. Granted, I've only been using it a few days, so I might amend this glowing review. But so far, so good. So, so good...

AWSOME ! I tried to find this rod on kastkings website said it was sold out, went on Amazon and found it in stock I ordered the rod and the royal pro spinning reel! I was watching reviews on YouTube and seeing everyone’s review about this rod and spinning reel combo and saw that it had great reviews, so I gave it a shot I ordered the combo and it’s by far the most amazing fishing pole I’ve ever had. It’s so light weight and the casting ability is just purely amazing such a good feeling especially when you don’t catch anything it’s just fun to throw your lure super far away! Amazing rod and amazing reel, if your questioning on getting it DO IT you won’t be disappointed. I give this FIVE BIG BOOMS 💥💥💥💥💥

I've been fishing Drop-shot style since before it was called Drop-shot. We just called it fishin'... I fell in love with the beautiful colors of this rod and it's matching reel. Then I did some research on the Rod selection they offer. I chose the 7'2" Spinning Drop-shot version. My fishing partner (my oldest Grandson, Gabriel) loved the looks of it as well. After using it a few days I noticed I was catching more fish than my Grandson. He is 14, I am 61, his reactions are ten times faster than mine. He usually doubles what I catch. And laughs when i have to re-bait without a fish to show... I returned from a trip to the restroom. And found my Grandson fishing with my new Fishing Pole! When I asked why he was using my pole, "You're catching more fish than me!" was the answer. He proceeded to show me that indeed the rod felt more bites. Good thing he has a Birthday coming up soon... I want my rod back! lol

The chameleon color makes the rod look purple or blue depending on which way the light shines on it. It has the perfect balance between a strong stirdy back bone, while having just the right amount of flex for casting out far. I've caught several oversize redfish and black drum on it so and handed the fight and weight of the fish like a champ. Biggest black drum on this so far was about 49". It also has really good sensitivity for small fish and those sensitive bites you can sometimes get from slow eating and sketchy fish. Absolutely great value for the money. The guides are also very good. My only gripe about this rod is the plastic hook holder on the reel seat vs the normal wire hook holder attached into the rod, makes the hook slip out easy at times.
