Fantastic Monitor - great colours, super smooth and excellent value!
Absolutely love this monitor. The colours are vibrant, the brightness is great, and the contrast is solid. The display is super smooth and sharp. It does have a little tint out the box but a quick tweak to the R/G/B values in the OSD fixes the white balance. Also love the design, looks very sleek on my desk. There's barely any input lag, and combined with the 180Hz refresh rate and g-sync, it's excellent for gaming. That said, there is a bit of backlight bleed which is noticeable when there's something dark on the screen, although to be fair it's not uncommon for an IPS panel. Overall though, it’s an awesome monitor for the price I paid (about £230).Edit: For anyone on Windows 10/11, go on Settings > System > Display > Colour management and turn off "Automatically manage colour for apps", it makes a night and day difference to the colours.

It's really good and it comes with a displayport lead!
Right then. Been using this new-fangled LG monitor for about a month now, and it's time for a verdict. When the box arrived, I thought, "Good grief, that's half the size of my shed door." Thought it'd be too much.I was wrong. For work, it's a godsend for these old eyes. I run one of those Linux contraptions, and I'll be darned if it didn't just work the second I plugged it in. No faffing about. The screen is so big I can have my code on one side and a web page on the other and still have room to breathe. Text is sharp as a tack. The colours look right, not all washed out like some screens. Most importantly, no eye strain after a long session. The youngsters will be interested in the games. Well, I fired up a couple, for science, and it was smoother than a freshly tarmacked road, a surface I'm beginning to believe is mythical. For the price, about £280, it feels like a steal. It's a solid, honest bit of kit that does exactly what it promises, and does it well. And here's a bit of wisdom for you: check the box before you go buying cables. It comes with one, a lesson this old fool learned the hard way.Bottom line: If you want a big, clear screen that just works, buy this one. It's good. Really good.

Fantastic monitor - quality display, performance, and value!
I’ve been using this monitor for almost a week now for my new PC rig. I picked this monitor over others (notably Samsung’s Odyssey G series) as I preferred its minimalist, sleek look. Also, I scoured the internet for opinions on its display and performance - it had much more favourable reviews on its display and price in comparison so I grabbed this while it was on sale (~£250). This was a fantastic purchase and would highly recommend it!Before, I had an MSI monitor at 1980x1080 (full HD). This monitor displays at 2560x1440 (or 2k) and the difference is astounding. It’s great for competitive games especially when utilising the DP for higher hertz; I haven’t noticed any input lag on OW2 and had to adjust my mouse sensitivity as the 180Hz allows for more precise aim. Further, story games like RDR2 feels like a cinematic masterpiece with this monitor. All colours are crisp and the blacks have greater contrast range than what I was used to. Others have commented on the HDR/display quality, but you can easily amend the settings to your preference. I’ve increased the contrast and saturation a little personally. For 27”, the size is great either at a desk or at a distance. The build quality is good too, particularly its heavy metal stand. It’s really easy to assemble and disassemble as no screws are needed. Adjusting the monitor’s height and angle whenever you’d like can be done easily, safely, and smoothly too.Others have talked about having a dead pixel on their display, but I haven’t had this issue with mine. I was cautious and luckily had a perfect display. I would’ve returned my monitor for a replacement regardless. The money was completely worth it here and if I needed/wanted to, I’d grab another one of these for my set up. Great value, functionality, and keeps any game looking and performing at its best.

Great monitor visually and design wise - but one dead pixel.
Really, really good monitor. Very sturdy, high level of colour accuracy and functions exactly as it says. Mine came with one dead pixel unfortunately but it's nothing to worry about too much. Would highly recommend this monitor.

Great IPS Panel
Bought a "Used-Good Condition" monitor for €485. Almost as new, no marks or anything. It was mentioned that "power cord is missing". Spoke to customer service before placing order, they even included that.Currently using it with PS5, I switched from 1440p monitor & PS5 didn't supported VRR on my old monitor. This LG monitor supports VRR & HDR on PS5 but personally I keep HDR off. Brightness is quite high in SDR, no ips bleed at least not for my eyes. I mostly play warzone and game runs smoothly.NOTE: I have a LG C3 OLED 55in so I suppose I have a good understanding of what a a good picture screen since. This LG UltraGear 4K Gaming Monitor 32GR9U is one of the best (IPS) screen I have seen yet.Update: There is IPS bleed which I noticed after a few days of use.

Monitor starts showing lines on the screen
Stay away from this item.Approximately a year after purchase, the monitor started showing horizontal lines on the screen (see attached image). A web search suggest that this is a common problem with this model. As this was still within warranty, I tried to get it replaced, but was just given a run-around.
