So, let's get the main part of the review out of the way. The stereo itself works as advertised and is a great upgrade for Base model owners who want Android Auto/Apple Carplay in a stock looking setup. The screen looks great and is very responsive. We use it with Android Auto and the interface is exactly what you would expect, and the response is quick (Paired wirelessly with a Moto G Power). There is not much out there for this generation (2019) of Ecosport as far as aftermarket stereos). The huge plastics that are part of the OEM setup are likely a big reason, but this comes with everything, cosmetically, to give you a stock look. You also get some extra functionality that the base stereo doesn't give you like a door open graphic (shows all four doors), some basic AC control (which was a surprise). This does also retain steering wheel controls as well. Not, why not 5 stars? Well, my honest rating would be 3.5 if I could. Why? The "directions" included are awful. Just a tiny pamphlet that shows what you have in the box and a very basic suggestion on installation. This is a unit that will only work with this generation of EcoSport, so why aren't the instructions better? The other issue is with the large plastic bezel/tray. You have to re-use your OEM clips from the OEM part. It DOES NOT mention this anywhere. Also, the clips do not grab on as well to the new part as they do to the OEM part. This means they will slide off and into the abyss of your dash. This happened to me when dealing with the camera install issue and having to remove it to set it all up. So take care of your OEM clips and make sure you are ready to close everything up or risk losing them. You get a ton of connections in the box, but not real explanation on whether or not you really need them. You are also not told that you will have at least 3 connections from the OEM stereo that are NOT used. Then comes the rear camera set-up (camera not included with this unit). Talk about making it way harder than it needs to be. I will, however, give credit to their support. It is slow and only via messages within your Amazon account, but you are able to include pictures. All the information I was given via support should be integrated into a real instruction set. Their responsiveness to help is the only thing that saved this from a 3 star rating.

Most days it works great. If there is a day that I don't drive my truck, the next day it plays super loud when I first get in. Also, the other day it decided that it wanted to be completely blank and not work for most of the morning. Oh, there are days where it doesn't want to give me any sound, but everything else works. Temperamental.
