Good bargain. No issues at all with the refurb job.
I lucked out with this one. The laptop I received looks and seems to perform brand new. It came with a good battery and no cosmetic issues. I have no problems at all in terms of the item being refurbished (and picked this seller because they seemed to have better reviews across the board for them, even the 'struck out' ones). I'd give them 5 stars for that.As to the laptop itself; it's pretty good. It's light, has good battery life, little fan noise, doesn't seem to heat up much, and can be lugged around a lot easier than my old 15in HP. The SSD is a nice improvement as well, it takes much less time to start up from standby. Performance is what I would expect: good for general applications and light-impact gaming, not something you would want to test with high-graphic tasking. I appreciate the fingerprint scanner as well, I had one on my previous model and it comes in handy (and seems to work quite a bit better than the old one). The touchpad works well... although there is a strange little kink where the button hesitates to click certain fields. I am not really considering it as part of the review because I think it's software related, possibly Windows 10.In terms of negatives: the screen and the audio. The screen just doesn't have great colors, although it's fine for most things. The audio is a disappointment in terms of its volume and tone. It just sounds... weak. Fine for youtube videos or even movies but it's not ideal. There's also only one jack for audio, so no separate mic\hp inputs. This would be a really great laptop if they'd put a little more oomph into the screen fidelity and audio. As it is, it's definitely good and works well for its limited purpose. Basically, if you are looking for a media platform rather than mobility this probably isn't your bag. But it is easy to carry around and CAN fulfill lots of tasks, even if it's not the best at them. All in all it was a bargain for the price I paid- if this were at a somewhat higher price, it would probably be a 4 star but at less than $400 I think I'd be hard-pressed to find one with similar capability.

2nd time receiving a defective product
Bought this from this seller the first time and they sent the wrong charger and no operating system. Processed a return for a new one and guess what, I got an operating system on this one but it doesn't charge come to find out both the battery and charger are defective. Nice shell of a laptop but how on earth do you release a product without ensuring its good?Secondly, the product states Windows 11 but this one will not upgrade from Windows 10, so the product description is terrible, and the seller misrepresented the truth about the product. I can no longer trust Amazon which allows this seller to sell on the website and the actual seller who can get it together and send a working laptop. For all the money in repairs and time spent waiting, I should have just gone to Best Buy and bought a new one but I just needed it to function for small tasks such as school but it's not good for anything and midway in updating the software the laptop died no charge. This is sad!

Nice value and good performance.
This laptop is 5 years old but looks almost new, an extremely nice job refurbishing it. The battery is also 5 years old but is holding a charge just fine.Came with what appears to be a fresh Windows 10 Pro installation. On the first boot a helpful setup program executed that found my wireless network, helped set that up, registered everything and then stubbornly tried to get me to create a Microsoft account. It was somewhat tricky skipping it but in the end the setup program continued and all was well. The machine included all the adware, news feeds, etc. that I didn't want or need. I spent about 2 hours removing / turning off all that stuff and setting power and hibernation where I wanted them. The laptop now boots up in 20 seconds flat.Speed is well above average, likely due to the Solid State Hard Drive and 5 core Intel processor. The Super Speed USB ports are surprisingly fast, peaking at 100MB/s on a USB3 thumb drive. If "create a Microsoft account" and all the adware and live feeds weren't in my face, this would easily be a 5 Star machine for me.

As advertised refurb laptop with no bloatware
Product received was just as advertised. It took a couple of hours to get it set up including activating windows with the code provided under the laptop, install third party av, and install office. Laptop arrived in good shape with minimal signs of wear and tear. The best thing about getting a reloaded laptop is that none of the usual vendor bloatware is present. The specs on the laptop are not the highest but more than sufficient for everyday use. We got this for our elementary and high school kids to do homework which is mostly online these days. After using SSD laptops, I would never go back to spinning drives. 256gb is plenty of space if you leverage cloud file storage. The biggest complaint I have for this laptop is the screen resolution isn’t relatively high. The icons and windows are a little large especially given the screen size. It is also heavier and bulkier than other laptops but not exceedingly so.Overall, the value of the laptop is top notch. To find a laptop with these specs at this price is awesome. Since laptops depreciate so quickly when you buy them, why buy new when you can get one a few years old for 50% less or more?

Nice new like Laptop and value for money
Laptop was very much in new like condition, working good, and value for money. Unfortunately one of the important keys (delete) and mouse pad were not responding (less sensitive) and I had to return it within warranty period. I have to buy another one asap and therefore did not took another chance.
