Challenging but fun
This was my first set of these type of bricks. There was definitely a learning curve, for me anyway. The instructions leave much to be desired. I was extremely frustrated while trying to assemble the first couple of layers. I'm usually very handy, and don't have problems assembling things, so I couldn't understand why I wasn't getting this! And then it clicked, and I actually understood what they were showing me. That's not to say that I didn't screw up along the way, oh, I did! I had to take apart several layers four different times because "something didn't look quite right". But overall, I enjoyed this immensely! It took me just under a month to complete, working sporadically here and there when I had time. And I love this Rainbow Bear! It is absolutely gorgeous! I love anything rainbow, so I had to buy this, and I'm so glad that I did. There were plenty of bricks, so no chance of running out. I would highly suggest separating the bricks before you begin. I separated by size and by color and trust me, you'll be glad that you took the time to do it. And it helps tremendously to have some sort of bright light and a magnifying glass. Overall, I would highly recommend this. I would have given five stars except for the terrible instructions.

No step by step instructions
Well unlike Lego products, these do not have much for instructions. No step by step. Lego give you a book, these come with a large front and back instruction paper. Like 9 steps. I havent attempted it yet but i know im going to need more instruction. Pieces fit well together as well. If i can figure out how to put it together, itll be great.

Instructions suck!
Instructions suck! I thought the number of bricks used would be in each section

Fun and Unique Build
I've previously done a locking brick kit before and had a blast doing them so I knew the OZTZ Toy Bear Building Blocks Kit would be fun to do. The way the bricks slide into one another is very neat and makes for a great 3D look in my opinion. Each one of the pieces is cut precisely and it still boggles my mind to think how they get those cuts that small and they are interlock together. There are two very large bags, an instruction poster (front and back) and a plastic hammer. if you've never done one of these, the instructions do look a little confusing and quite intimidating but the key is to take it slow AND make sure you're on the correct layer (since this type of 3D kit is all about layers). There have been times when I thought I was working one layer but looking at one two steps ahead....it happens as sometimes everything runs together so just take your time. I have just started it but will update if I run into any issues during the build. I'm looking forward to this one and recommend it.

Rainbow bear
This review is for the Rainbow bear. The pieces slide together, like tongue and groove boards, but with a lot more sections that interlock per brick. The result is a more stable build than something made with micro bricks. The pieces are not sorted at all, they come in two huge bags. I recommend sorting them at least by color, so that you don’t spend most of your time hunting for the needed pieces. The instructions are terrible! Unlike a normal building set, these instructions don’t tell what pieces are needed for each step. You have to look at the step and gather the pieces yourself. Each step is really three steps in one, as each step adds three layers to the bear.I would not recommend this set for young kids or impatient adults. It’s not exactly hard, but you do have to pay very close attention to the instructions. Piece hunting is my least favorite part of building sets, I’m too spoiled by numbered bags.

Frustrating
I have the clown bear one..I have taken this thing apart 3 times..the red leg triangle just doesn't come out right and everytime I do it I get the same results..don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if instructions are wrong.

Challenging and big build
Wish me luck… just kidding, I’m not going to build this. I ordered this for my grandson who considers himself a brick master-builder. I was delighted to find a new challenge for him and I just hope that he’s not overwhelmed by how involved and large the project is. The bricks arrived unsorted in large bags, one of which split open during the shipping process. Fortunately, it really wasn’t an issue because all the colors are mixed up to begin with. The gift box is pretty impressive and he was extremely excited when he opened it. The rainbow design is perfect for members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies. He’s been keeping me updated on his progress, which is slow going. But he says this build is a good way to decompress after work and school and get away from screens for awhile. The price is great compared to other sets of this size. The bricks themselves are actually innovative and slide together inside of stacking. Overall, a very good value and a challenging project.
