This play sand kit was a bit smaller than I thought, but it comes in its own carry case with a handle, making it easy to travel with. There a 3 tools, 3 colours of sand and plenty of molds to mix and match and have great fun creating edible looking works of art such as cake slices, cupcakes and ice cream cones. The sand colours and lovely and bright and have a funny texture, being sticky and clumpy like wet sand but just different. The sand clumps together nicely allowing it to form the shape of the mold. I think my first thought with this is that once you have created something from the old using all the colours, how then do you separate them out again or will it create one brown sand colour? We haven't got to the stage of decommissioning a piece yet as my grand daughter is so pleased with her art, that she doesn't want to break it up. I believe you can buy more sand colours so this kit will last for years.

My daughter is very needy in the sense that she has to have guided, structured play. She struggles to think of something to do on her own, which can be draining, especially at the weekend when it's our only time off work and there's a mountain of housework to catch up on and the week ahead to prep for. I honestly didn't expect this to be any different…..spoiler alert, it was! Whether it was the bright colours or the textures, she was obsessed straight away. She took herself off with the little carry case and started creating without needing me to prompt or hover. That in itself was a huge relief and a real surprise. The sand is so buttery smooth it just runs through your fingers, but somehow it still manages to hold a shape really sturdily. You get a whopping 1.9lb of sand split across three colours, which is plenty to start with, and you can buy more separately if you want to expand it. The kit also comes with moulds for ice creams and cakes, a little pan, and digging tools, so there's loads of variety for her to experiment with. What I really like is how practical the set is. The storage box has snap locks so you can seal everything away at the end, which saves me worrying about a mess. The sand doesn't dry out or stick everywhere either, so it's easy to play with again and again. She's had so much fun layering the colours into moulds and pretending she's making desserts, and it's actually sparked her imagination in a way I wasn't expecting. For the price, it's brilliant value. You get a sturdy, well-designed kit with loads of accessories, a good amount of sand, and a storage box that keeps it all tidy. It feels like a gift that will get used over and over again rather than something that ends up forgotten in a cupboard.

What a great sand play set. This is perfect for my 3 year old and is ideal to play with during the holidays. There’s approximately 1.9lbs of sand and it comes in 3 colours. The sand feels a bit foamy and can be moulded easily. Brilliant for sensory play. There’s a good variety of moulds in different shapes and 3 tools. I like how it comes with a storage box that clips together to keep the sand and tools together. This is a must have for rainy days or for summer days in the garden. Would make a fab gift.

Ich bin total begeistert von dem Kinder Magic Sand! Dieser Sand ist einfach magisch – er lässt sich wunderbar formen und bleibt dabei immer schön feucht, ohne dass er klebrig wird. Mein Kind hat stundenlang Spaß daran, verschiedene Figuren und Burgen zu bauen. Die Farben sind lebendig und ansprechend, was die Kreativität anregt. Außerdem ist der Sand leicht zu reinigen und hinterlässt keine unordentlichen Rückstände. Es ist eine großartige Möglichkeit, die motorischen Fähigkeiten und die Fantasie zu fördern. Ich kann Magic Sand nur empfehlen – ein tolles Spielzeug, das für viel Freude sorgt!
