Montana Crushable Wool Felt Western Style Cowboy Hat by Silver Canyon

For the thrifty price, the hat ticks all the boxes for size, fit, comfort, style and color. I had anticipated returning it when discovering [after ordering it] that it was one of those 'crushable' chapeaus. Eww. But on its arrival, after watching it spring to its full size when removing it from its cellophane wrapping, I was pleasantly shocked at what I saw. I think I actually went into a small dance when realizing it was a perfect size XXL, the color was excellent, and the crown and brim suited my large face perfectly. Yup. its a mighty fine brim! Just purchased an Australian leather chin strap to give it the final touch of "truly western' allure. Beaucoup Kudos to Silver Canyon!

This is a very nice mid-priced hat. The felt is soft to the touch, but firm enough to hold its shape. The fit is good. I am a 7 1/2 and this size L fits with no expanders needed. It came totally crushed in a amazon vinyl envelope inside a clear cellophane wrapping. After I opened it I was concerned , but I popped up the crown and shaped it with my hand and viola... it was perfect. I am not a hat guy, but my grandfather did not leave the house without a lid on. In his honor, I am trying out a hat that isn't a ball cap. I've purchased a straw Panama hat, this hat in putty color and a dark olive fedora to try out. So far its a fun fashion statement.

I ordered the Gray hat size small 2 years ago it fits perfectly I wear it all the time winter and summer. Nice quality but after 2 years of use the color is starting to fade. But I still love it. I would recommend it to anyone

I order a tan color and I received a hat with the tag information saying the color is putty and honestly I’m still trying to figure out what color it is the hat but I’m keeping the one I received since is a beautiful and the most important is a great quality hat, I can see in person why the price tag of $85 us dollar, my only hope is that the company who distribute this items in the us pay a fair amount of money to the people who really make them in china, otherwise I will be heart broken thinking that I’m helping someone getting rich in united states while the hard working people in china getting paid cents for this luxury items, because it is a luxury hat.

This is a nice hat. The brim is not quite as wide as it appeared in the photo (guess my math is off for estimates on that), but it's good quality and very comfortable. I had a serious issue with the vendor/shipping though. The first time I ordered this hat it didn't come - it was delayed 3 times, then returned and marked as undeliverable. I gave it a second shot since I really wanted this hat and the second time it came without any problems. It was very frustrating and weird - no idea what was going on the first time.

I received my hat in a box that was squished in the corner a bit. I had to steam and reshape the very front of the hat, but because of the quality it was a very easy job. The hat looks awesome and fits perfectly.

This hat was for our son - we were not ready to spend $200+ on a hat that he may or may not wear (you know how teens can be, they want it until they get it and then it sits in a closet). I chose this one due to the color and material. It doesn't shape easy, but the rim is not oversized and it has the pointed crease in the hat already - he loves it. A lot more comfortable than his dad's Stetson whose band is very stiff and molded. This hat has been worn since he opened it. We did take the feathers off bc that was not his style, it was an easy fix. Very pleased and would recommend.

I have been looking for a new hat. When I saw this one I thought I would give it a shot. It looked pretty nice in the picture. I used a soft tape measure and matched up the size I would need. When I received it, I was happy. It is a very beautiful hat. Nice a soft. But then when I went to put it on it was at least 2-3 sizes too big. I actually gave it to my son-in-law to try. He claims to have a "Huge" head so I thought if it does not fit me maybe it would fit him. It did fit him but the hat was too shallow. The top of the hat hit his head before it sat in the proper position on his head. When I put the hat on I had kind of felt the same thing. So we ended up returning the hat. I was very disappointed. It looked very nice. I will just have to keep looking. When I went back to look at reviews others had similar problems but it was all over with too big and too small. So it is hard to say if you will get the right size. If you want to try, I wish you good luck. If you can get on that fits, you will have a beautiful hat.
