This had been a life saver for me. In those extra stressful or emotional moments this has helped me relax more but not in a tiring way. It just makes those moments easier to get through.

I've struggled with chronic, very stubborn insomnia for 25 years. Horrible way to live. I've tried just about everything under the sun to help me sleep - medications, supplements, various stress-reduction behaviors and therapies, etc etc - frankly it's amazing how many things don't work for me and every "expert" is baffled. It's as if my brain and body's sleep functions just don't work correctly. I stopped various pharmaceuticals years ago, because they didn't work long term, or because even if they did they came with damaging side effects or long-term health concerns. Regular GABA does not work for me, but pharma GABA does make a difference (along with various other supplements). Illustrating the severity of my insomnia, I have to take 1000mg of pharma GABA to see any difference. I'd been using another high-quality and expensive brand for some time - it did help but I still struggled often. Then I discovered this lower-cost option, and perhaps it's just coincidence, but I have been sleeping pretty well since trying it, which in turn dramatically improves my quality of life. So I suppose that is potentially a huge-endorsement of this product from a serious chronic insomniac.

I take one capsule about 30 minutes before bed and find that it relaxes me and allows me to fall asleep quickly (with melatonin and ambien which I have taken for years). I tried it on its own once (without melatonin and ambien - and it didn't work by itself. However, my wife took one capsule and she was allergic and itchy all over for two hours until an Atarax could bring it under control. For me, it helped. For her - no way.
