Worked great!
This bee bait was purchased to catch abee swarm. Great value the smell is amazing, has a lemon grass cent. The application was easy to use with a qtip or can use a cotton swab. Catch rate was a succes within a few weeks we caught a swarm on our first try ever.

Within 24 hours, BEES!
It really is that good! However, don't leave the bottle, once opened, in your house or office. I did, and came into the office to find a half dozen bees flying around the office, even though the bottle was closed. (I was using it to entice bees to move into my HexaBees indoor observational hive). I was able to capture them and move them into their new home; hopefully, they'll show their friends through the actual hive entrance and not through my front door!

Caught a swarm! First time using this swarm lure.
I've always purchased another brand. Tight budget this year and Bee Bait Swarm Lure was more affordable. I was fairly liberal (more than two drops) on the frames in the swarm trap. Swarm trap went out the first week of June due to cooler temps at the location (7,000' altitude in foothills). Swarm moved in June 26th. My swarm traps are nothing fancy, a plastic Nuc with three old frames. I had two traps out this year. The trap with the Bee Bait lure was the only trap that caught a swarm. I will be using this product again next year.

Have not yet attracted a swam.
I was asked for a review. I bought this and tried it as it is supposed to be used but have not attracted a swarm. Not sure how I determine if it is the product or lack of a swarm where I live, so gave it a middle of the road review. I have seen no swarms around so I can't say it didn't attract them, on the other hand, neither has it attracted a swarm.

Bees like it
I used this to bait five swarm traps last year and caught two swarms, saw one more visit a trap and then leave but I can't blame that on the lure. That's pretty good success rate for swarm traps. I saw bees coming to check my traps even as I was hanging them up in the woods. My only quibble is shelf life, the seller said don't freeze it and then when I asked him, he responded that freezing doesn't affect it, he stores it in his garage in the winter. OK, say one or the other please, this is not really an answer. I will try it again this spring, if I open the bottle and it smells like Murphy's Oil Soap I will go ahead and use it. Bees like that smell. I've kept it in the fridge, not the freezer. One of these bottles is enough to bait about a hundred traps so I hate to throw it out.

Rubbish don't waste your money. But lemongrass oil instead
Rubbish. Does not attract swarm. It's merely lemongrass oil.

This is great
This stuff does wonders!! i actually got a bee hives setup 2 tiers and i popped drops into the bottom box and spilled it all over the top and the sides then I let it set. once the last snow storm hit I went out there and bam I have a full hive living inside they are doing great. Super stoked I did not have to do anything this stuff pulled them in. I love it !!! I have already recommended using this and people who have come over are pretty impressed the hive just moved in on their own.

it works
It worked for me. Maybe the swarm would have come to my box anyway; I will never know.

I used the Bountiful Bees Bee Bait in my swarm traps last summer and had great success. I kept it simple: just a few drops on a cotton ball, placed inside a small Ziploc bag with the top left slightly open, then stapled it inside the swarm trap. That’s it. Using that setup alone, I caught three swarms in one season. No old comb, no lemongrass oil mix, nothing fancy — just this lure. The scent lasts a long time and seems strong enough to attract scouts without being overpowering. What I like most is how little you need. A tiny amount goes a long way, so one bottle should last multiple seasons if you’re not overdoing it. It’s clean, easy to apply, and much less messy than DIY mixes. If you’re setting swarm traps and want something proven, this bait is absolutely worth it. I’ll definitely be using it again every swarm season.
