Tons of fun! Best tinywhoop ever!
This Air65 is a blast! It flies great indoors and outdoors as well. Very quick and range is good. Good video quality and ELRS/video range. Flying it is a white knuckle heart pumping experience! It is quite durable too, although my first one got cut short because the VTX antenna got disconnected in a crash which fried the VTX within a few minutes. Amazon replaced it and I added a dab of E6000 near the VTX antenna connector on the new one which has prevented this issue from repeating. I've crashed the replacement tons of times with no problems besides a broken canopy which is a quick fix. You will need more canopies (get the Air II canopy!). The stock canopy has a minimum camera angle of 25 degrees which is hard to fly indoors for beginners. The Air II canopy is lighter, more durable, and goes down to 15 degrees which is perfect. You will also need a few sets of replacement props as they do get bent up pretty quickly when crashing indoors. I haven't had this much fun in a long time!

Freaking awesome.
This little thing is awesome. Really hard to fly indoors with my skill level, so much power. Haven't had any super hard crashes yet but after just one day I've crashed it about 20 times. Hope the new ban doesn't hurt the consumer drone market over our urge to destroy the ability for commercial chinese drones to compete in the us market. I just found this hobby dang it. Update: 1-8-2025. Flying this thing is addicting. I've gotten way better at flying it, so now I've had dozens of very hard crashes at full speed into walls trying to go through narrow gaps. Finally broke the camera mount but not bad enough to switch to the spare it comes with. I ended up buying the air 75 too, the 75 I've broken the frame in two different spots but it's still not bad enough to switch to the ultra light frames I bought. Though ive broken the camera mount bad enough i need to replace it. Very happy with these little things. Wish I would have bought the air75 from Amazon instead of ebay. The air75 had the previous version camera and isn't as good as quality as the newer version that came on the air65 I bought here. These little drones are very durable and only get damaged from very extreme wrecks into hard surfaces.

Great FPV tiny whoop! Not someones first drone unless you do a lot of research on FPV first
This is one of the best fpv tiny whoops you can buy and fly! It is super responsive and fun, scratching my itch for the days when flying 5 in quads wasn't taken away by the government. I highly recommend this drone if you are already in the know of the fpv world. If you have never flown fpv drones and only used commercial drones like DJI or other self flying camera type drones, I recommend you do a lot of research first. If you are looking for a gift for a kid I would not recommend this drone, if they don't already have fpv goggles and an ELRS controller. If you are just starting out with drones period, this one will not be the one for you. Great little ripper with super powerful motors, the whole drone with battery is similar in weight to a AA battery, never had more fun than this drone. As you can fly a tiny whoop anywhere with way less risk than a 5in quad.

Pro FPV pilot here: Hands down one of best 65mm Tinywhoops!
Update: One year later, I'm addicted to this Air65 cause their so fun and cheap to fix. I've gone through a few of them, usually the RX signal to your controller will fail controller will fail and occasionlly the camera. Now its super important to understand that any tineywhoop you buy will eventually have issues & break (some sooner than others), and between Betafpv, Newbeedrone & happymodel I've had the best luck with the Airt65 aio flight controller this drone comes with. If the RX breaks i just plug in another $20 Nano RX from betafpv or happymodel and its good to go, however then you're adding an extra gram which is a lot when drone is only 17grams. So usually i just replace with a new FC for $59 and its back up in the air. Again this is completely normal for any tinywhoop as they have small parts that do break after crashing into concrete, poles, whatever... But this thing holds up, I've had plenty of full speed crashes into the street and it was just fine! Betafpv just revised the Air frame and canopy for this drone and its much better, at the time of writing this 12-9-25, it still ships with the OG frame (i just bought another one lol), but i just swap them out with the new air frame II that you can buy now. I totally fell in love with the 90's Analog video vibe the camera on these drones have and rarely pick up my digital goggles and drones anymore. Original review: Hey, as a pro FPV pilot who’s built and flown a ton of tinywhoops, I gotta say, the Air65 is legit one of the best out there. It’s fast, super fun for freestyle, and when you crank up that plastic canopy angle, it rips. The BetaFPV CO3 analog camera has a really good image & dynamic range, my favorite compared to the other tiny cameras available. If you’re torn between the Air75 and this Air65, I’d say grab this Air65. Its higher KV motors give it more punch for its size and weight compared to the Air75. I have a couple Air75 drones too and love them, but I upgraded the motors to 30kv. While out the box this 65mm is a freestyle beast and crazy quiet, so you won’t bug anyone while flying. Only downside? The first-gen canopy holding the camera is light but will break after a few solid crashes. No biggie, though—it comes with a spare, and you can grab more universal 25mm canopies anywhere. Or if you have a 3D printer, you can print your own canopies. Keep in mind, a pack of replacement canopies runs about $20, wile a 3D printer starts at $100 for unlimited canopies and all sorts of other parts. Long-term, a printer’s a money-saver for drone stuff and beyond. New to FPV? You’re gonna need analog goggles and an ELRS radio/controller to pair with this drone’s ELRS receiver—hope you’ve got those already. Most importantly, please practice on an FPV simulator before taking this baby out. You don’t wanna yeet it into a tree on your first go. Spend a couple of hours in the sim learning to fly in circles, come back, and land without drama. Once you’ve got that down, you’re good to fly the Air65 IRL. Oh, and download Betaflight Configurator—it’s the app every FPV pilot uses. You’ll need it to set up your radio’s arm and turtle mode switches and tweak the OSD on your goggles. Plus, it’s how you apply that tune I mentioned (not a must). Eventually like any other tinywhoop this thing will break and you'll need to replace a camera or flright controller, so make sure you learn how to solder its super easy!
