My original plan was to use the lighter creams daily and save Desitin (with 40% zinc oxide) for when my baby actually developed a rash.However, when my son had a mild to moderate diaper rash at around 2 months, I used Desitin — and I could see a huge difference within the same day! The rash was completely cleared within 1–2 days. After that, I tried going back to the lighter creams for daily use, but unfortunately, the rash came back within a week.
