I vacuum/heat seal very often and I like to try alternative packaging to do so. This pack of bags is great because you get 100 bags for a very low price. I got these bags in particular because I wanted to heat seal and waterproof snacks for kayak trips.These bags are very thick, which is key for me as I wanted something that was definitely waterproof and smell proof or at least smell reducing. They have a stand up bottom which is great if you are pouring something in as it won't tip over. The color is really bright and that is ideal if you are digging around in your bag looking for this.Using a heat seal improves the waterproof, however the area to heat seal is relatively small so it can be tricky. As the area is so small, it can be difficult to open after heat sealing unless you nail the placement. My biggest negative is that these bags are TINY on the inside. They are nowhere near 5x4 on the inside so I have had to reimagine what I will put in these bags. However they are good solid bags if you have a very small amount to place inside them.

I've ordered a few different brands looking for high quality mylar bags and very happy with these. The material is a good thickness yet still flexible and the matte white finish is beautiful. I love that they offer the 4"x5" size too. The wider width to height ratio is really nice. I need something a bit larger because I'm putting vacuum sealed bags inside so I had to exchange them for the 4x6 but wish they made 4.8" x 6" or 4.5"x6" instead.

These are great little bags for SO many purposes. Literally anything you can think of to store in a secure bag. The closure is very secure, the material is thick and strong. I like to use them to hand out cookies or candy to friends and family, or also can be used for coffee beans, small toiletries... possibilities are endless! Highly recommend!

Color was lovely, and this would work well for spice, tea, etc.For the intended herb storage, the smell proofing could be a lot better. I had to use a sealer in addition to the zip lock

Love these bags for the vibrant green color, the luxe matte exterior, and how easy they are to seal and unseal for reuse. There are no windows, so if you have something light sensitive it should work in here (like spices and teas). We are using as mystery bags for items. :) The exterior is 5x4 but the interior is more like 3.5x3.2 with how much room the sealed top takes, the gusset on the bottom (don't get me wrong, it adds to the inner dimension outwards), and the sealed sides also come in a bit. So if you are wanting it to fit something just shy of 5x4 you'll be disappointed.

These bags are completely opaque. What that means is you will not be able to see what you put in the bag once sealed. So I consider the best use for these bags to be items that have an extended life if not exposed to light.Correctly measures 4x5. Seal is strong and easy. Bottom expands making it possible to stand the bag up in storage.
