I did the research, you just need to add to buy this one!!! To be clear, I’m a consider myself a moderately skilled sewer. I occasionally create clothing from scratch, but mostly I alter off the rack items or use patterns. By no means am I a seamstress. I have wanted a dress form for a very long time to help aid my craft, and finally decided to buy one. I went back and forth between expandable dress forms, and the fully stuffed type such as this one. Expandable forms were out. 1. They are cheaply made. A plastic form with thin covering that pins can’t fully go into Most of the bases are plastic too! 2. Once it’s expanded, and some aren’t even sized correctly, there are huge gaps. This brand has different sizes, and I went with 6. You can buy, or DIY, padding for larger sizes. So I felt there was no need to go larger. To note, the top I show on the form is a size large. This dress form is excellently built!! There is a heavy metal base with locking castors, and heavy metal adjustable pole. The bottom of the form is solid wood, and the pole fits into it, then locks. But the dress form itself spins very easy so you can move it as you work because of the way the pole attachment is designed. The form itself is very firm, yet pins push into it easily, and the canvas covering is thick. Since I choose ‘with arms’, it also came with shoulders for when you don’t need a full arm. Both attach, and detach, easily with a very strong magnet. As you see by the photos, the arms are fully pose able and stay where they are put. Proof of how strong the magnet it. I also appreciate the lovely metal finial at the top, instead of just cut off, or some cheaper versions had a built in pin cushion. So after much research, and hem-hawing, I’m extremely pleased with the new addition to my craft studio! If you are considering purchasing a dress form, rest assured you will not be disappointed! I also received a bundle of sewing accessories, which was a nice touch!

Wow. Better than expected. Beautiful construction. Came with the shoulder pieces in addition to the arm pieces, all of which snap onto the body with super strong magnets. Simple to assemble, with a couple of included tools, even without any instruction information. Padding is about 1/8” thick, so not much, but for my display needs, will work fine. Height is adjustable to a very tall mannequin height. Base is very heavy, and about 16” wide, with 4 lockable rollers. My shipment also came with a little package of a few sewing kit items; extras are always handy in my house. Love it and plan to get tons of use out of it! Thanks for a great product.

I have only had her a couple of weeks, but so far I am not disappointed. She is sturdy and well made. The arms stay in place nicely and can be removed and replaced easily to make adjustments. They can fall off if nudged by accident, but that’s not an issue for me. I appreciate the castor wheels to move her around and then lock in place. I got the size six and her measurements seem to be accurate. She makes alterations much easier than trying things on and getting poked with pins.

Rolls well. Sturdy metal base. Correct to measurements in the item description. Nice metal top. Heavier and much nicer than the expandable ones. Totally worth the price.

I really like this dress form. It work very well for all of my needs. I only complaint is that the magnetic arms fall off easily. If you just want to use it as a display, it is perfect. However, if you are dressmaking, the one of the arms kept falling off every time I moved it to alter my fabric. So, i rarely use the arms, I just use the shoulders. Other than this little flaw, I have no complaints. It is worth buying, especially for those new to sewing.
