I thought it would have been more absorbent, it works but not as well as my old ones.

This is a good item. It was bigger than I had imagined but it works well. I had to cut it in half since my hands are small. It gets the job done. Value for the money is on point.

There is an odor. I hope it will go away over time and use of the chamois.

The media could not be loaded. I regret to say that my experience with this product has not been positive. I am quite disappointed with the overall quality. I expected much more considering the reviews I had read. I definitely would not recommend it to other buyers. I hope the company can improve this product in the future.

It is smoother surfaced than the picture in the listings shows which is good. That picture does not accurately reflect this product unless it is under many times magnification, which the package picture does not reflect. This is much thinner, and smoother, as expected. That picture shows suede, not chamois.There is some slight difference in thickness from side to side, also not unexpected for a natural product. I think the square footage is pretty accurate, bit it is not really possible for me to measure an irregularly shaped piece like this. But I am more inclined to say that this is more than 4.5 sq ft.The smell when first opened is quite noticeable and not pleasant. I have not wet it yet to see if it will go away, though another reviewer said that it will.I look forward to good long use from this.As a Vine reviewer I try to provide good information. My scale:Most things will start at 4 stars.It gets that extra star only if it is outstanding.It loses stars for issues- bad sizing, poor quality.One star if is is not suitable for purpose or for gross misrepresentation.

Great quality

This chamois is the way for consistent car drying. It's a good size without being overly large. Easy to flop onto the car body to enable dragging across, which is where a damp chamois excels. It's good enough at drying that I didn't feel the need to go over the car body again with a microfiber cloth to remove spotting.Highly recommend this.
