A Game-Changer: Camco Deluxe Poop Tote Review
The Camco Deluxe Poop Tote is a standout choice in the market, offering exceptional build quality, comprehensive features, and impressive functionality. What sets it apart is not just its superior design but also its surprisingly affordable price tag. As someone who previously owned a Thetford unit, I can attest to the significant difference in quality. The Thetford unit, while well-made, fell short in design by lacking a crucial component - the drain valve for the tote. Even after investing in the missing part separately, using it remained a source of frustration due to its flawed design. In stark contrast, the Camco Deluxe Poop Tote comes fully equipped with a well-thought-out design that prioritizes practical real-world usage. One particularly thoughtful feature is the inclusion of front wheels, which make a noticeable difference, especially for older users. These wheels significantly reduce the effort required to pull the cart towards your tow vehicle, enhancing the overall user experience.

Quality product that is so much better than the alternatives
The Camco product is better built, more complete, and more functional than any other poop tote out there...and it's cheaper than them...go figure. I have had a unit from Thet... and, though well made, it was incredibly poorly designed and was missing a key component (the drain valve for the tote). Using it, even after buying the component to build the missing valve, was a major PITA due to the poor design. Not only does the Camco come with everything you need to use it right away, it's design is well thought out and allows you to easily use the tote in the real world. For seasoned citizens like myself, I strongly suggest the units like this one with the front wheels as it seriously reduces the strain when pulling the cart to your tow vehicle.

great tank
Sturdy, heavy build... should last a while. My only beef is the little pop up indicator should be included AND ...dont ask me how I know, but its more of a idiot light than a gauge. When your dumping a 50 gallon black water tank into one of these, you DO NOT want to overflow it. You still want at least one longer chunk of sewer hose to use with this. These are definitely a higher quality blow molded product. 1 per family per 3 decades or so unless your dragging it miles to a dump station frequently in which case you just wear crap out lol ... 3

great product
very sturdy fits almost my whole tank inside it although it makes it kind of too heavy to move around. It’s really easy to install. It has all the hook ups. It looks great. The size is perfect. Doesn’t seem to make any noise and it’s thick sturdy and and nothing leaks out all the connections are there and they connect very well.

Do I need this?
Have you ever had one of those items you really wanted but just didn’t want to pay the price they are asking for it? This was exactly that for me. I had a 2 wheel version ($100) by another company for 15 years. It worked and was holding up well, but when full it was so heavy I could hardly move it. So I wanted one with 4 wheels. Out of all the reviews and research I did. Even this one was questionable. So many videos of new tanks with leaks. It is a great tank. I can move it a lot easier than the other one I had. I like the hook to hang it on my ladder. I haven’t had any leaks. 36 gallons works out well. We can usually drain the shower tank and the kitchen sink in one run if we dump soon enough or make 2 runs if we want to wait. I like the dump valve locations. As far as options go for black water/grey water tanks it is a good tank. But let’s get real here. For what this is, it cost way too much. I want to cut it some slack because it is built in the U.S.A. But there a few things I just can’t get passed for the money I spent on this thing. First thing is, the front wheels. They are too close together so that takes away from the stability when trying to pull it around by hand on uneven terrain. It is doable but not exactly easy with 36 gallons of water in it. Once you get up on the road it is not bad. Second, it is obvious when they added the design for the hook to hang it on the ladder they didn’t even bother to move the groves for the straps to the other side of the tank. They are now on the inside close to the ladder. They do nothing to hold the straps in place. Because of the shape of the tank, it is hard to strap to the ladder. Once again doable but not easy. I added pool noodles to the ladder rungs and this helped. Third thing, is trying to figure out what to do with the bar and wheels. First time, I took the bar off and put it in the storage hold. Second time, I Decided to put a strap on it and hold it down to the tank. I just know I don’t want this steal bar swinging around back there and hitting someone else’s vehicle. Fourth, It is very awkward to hang on the ladder. There is no place to grab the tank, and you have to be careful if don’t take the steal bar off, it does not smack you in the head while you are trying to get the tank overhead to hang it on the ladder. Only time will tell how well this tank holds up. Camping for a week without some way to haul off shower water would mean we have to use the public restrooms for at least showers. We can’t get more than 2 days before the tank is full. So being able to dump every 2 days is nice. It is a good tank but I think for the money it could be designed better.

Works great for my 22' camper/trailer with a 32G tank.
Came in handy over the camping season. My trailer has a 32Gallon tank that can fill up quickly over a long weekend. So not having to unhook the trailer, take it to the dump station and then back it back into the spot was a huge time saver. This is big enough to hold the entire tank, wheel over to my truck and drop it on the tow ball and drive it to the campground dump station. Overall, the quality is solid with thick walls. The fittings are tight with out leaks. It's a little big but then that's just a function of the tank size. The next size down was too small for my trailer and it really wasn't that much smaller in physical dimensions anyway so I went with the larger one to accommodate my entire RV tank. Happy with purchase.

Works Great!
It works! The smaller size is much easier for me to store as well. Well built and easy to use for emptying grey water as needed.

Worth the money! Easy to use, set up, and empty. Especially with the side drain. The wheels are oversized and great on uneven, gravel roads! Very happy with this purchase.

I started camping last season and wanted a way to dispose of the waste without having to borrow another campers tote. Based on price and size this was the best option. I placed order on Sunday and the item arrived on Thursday, which is excellent turn around for how remote I am. I used it to dump my black water last weekend. It is a sturdy design, quick and easy setup with all the required attachments included. The caps and hoses have tight connections, I have no issues with the cap being loose. All caps and connections are tight with no worries on leaks. If you are going to tow the tank make sure you drive slow. Complaints about the tank not being sturdy when you are towing the tank while driving fast. Fast is anything above walking speed. If you are going to tow the tank to a dump site you should be driving at 10Kph. This is an addition from a couple of years with of use. I dump my black and grey water once a week. The tote is very sturdy and when compared to other products, I would not go to a different manufacturer if Camco makes the item I require. I live in a remote part of Canada and the weather is not nice. But this tote has stood the test of time and still looks like the day it was purchased, even if it does not smell like it.
