Great wallet: 9 years and going...
Original Review (5/9/13): This wallet is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a thin wallet with enough room for a couple cards and a few bills for the times when I don't want to carry my regular size wallet. It has been redesigned so there is no longer the logo on it, which was a complaint of many of the reviewers. Some of the reviews also said it was difficult to remove cards from it, but mine doesn't have that problem. The cards fit snug enough so they don't fall out but are also loose enough to remove easily. The construction of the wallet appears to be sufficient enough. Time will tell if it holds up, but for only $9.99 it seems like quite a bargain to me.Update (9/3/20): I have used this wallet in my front pocket every day for the past 7 years and have zero complaints. It has held up extremely well (picture attached). There are no rips or loose stitches. I think the big pocket used to have some sort of liner that tore so I ripped it out, but that didn't affect the function at all. I overstuff it at times which makes it a little harder to get cards out, but that's my fault not the product. I currently have 8 cards/ID's, 5 dollar bills, and 4 post-it sized folded pieces of paper in it. I highly recommend this product.Update (10/17/22): Wallet continues to hang in there. It's showing a little more wear but still totally functional. Has a couple spots where the main exterior stitches are frayed a little but the wallet is not pulling apart yet.

Excellent for the Price
This leahter card case is an excellent purchase for the price. What I mean by that is that it serves it's intended purpose and appears well made. Cards DO fit in the four side pockets unless the center pocket is excessively filled. It is very slim and has an elegant appearance. It does appear durable as long as the middle pocket is not filled too much. When the middle pocket is filled too much, which is not intended to be, one should expect card retrieval to become more difficult and stitching might begin to get undone.Shipping:The shipping was great: it was shipped quickly, within 2 days and was delivered very quickly: within 5 days of ordering.

Excellent, with one flaw
I've had this wallet for almost two years now and really do like it, however it is starting to fall apart a bit. More on that in a bit...First the pros - the size is fantastic. I just bought the Hammer Anvil one because it was a Prime Day deal and didn't like that one as much as it is bulkier (wider and taller - not thickness) than this AlpineSwiss one. This AlpineSwiss wallet is sized perfectly for US currency so that I can easily access it as it is almost exactly the same height if not a bit shorter than standard US currency. The stitching for the center currency pocket does not go all the way to the top of the wallet, only to the top of the card pockets, so you can more easily open the center section to access your bills. I travel quite a bit as well and most non-US currency will be a bit taller and will stick out from the center pocket. If you live outside of the US or travel a lot and that bothers you, this may not be the wallet for you and you may want to consider the Hammer Anvil one which is a bit larger. The leather also seems to be of decent quality and the wallet does stretch and loosen up over time, as any leather product will. Some reviews on here complain about the tightness of the slots, but they just need to give it a break-in period. I carry four cards (one per slot), and usually one or two emergency cash bills in the center pocket and this wallet is perfectly slim for my front pocket. As far as the cons go, after almost two years of use, the card slots are starting to de-laminate. It seems that the leather at the opening of these slots are just folded over and (I'm assuming) glued. After some wear, the glue seems to have given way and each time I pull my credit card out now, it pulls the little flap of leather out with it which gets annoying. Some stitching here would solve this problem, but I will most likely just take some Loctite to it and hope it holds. I deducted one star for this. The only other thing I would wish for is RFID blocking. I know AlpineSwiss has a RFID blocking version of this wallet, but it is currently $24.99, and considering I paid under $10 for this wallet, I don't think RFID blocking should increase the product cost by 150%. That's the reason I took a chance on the Hammer Anvil product - at $15 and featuring RFID blocking I figured it was worth a shot. If the AlpineSwiss product was priced at the $15 price point, I'd buy it all day long.Overall, this is a great product, and I would recommend it. This is the perfect size for people looking for a small minimalist wallet. If the card slot issue was solved, this would be a 5-star product.

Great wallet, minimal, sleek. Will it stand the test of time?
I did not expect to really like this wallet but it is the perfect minimalist wallet. Fits perfectly in my pocket, doesn't take up too much space, holds cards and my ID with a bit of cash. Overall, A+ if it stands the test of time. If not, my review will change accordingly. Look at the date of my review and if nothing has changed in the next year or so, or it is still 5-stars, then you know this is quality. If things have change: caveat emptor.6-month update: This wallet is holding up marvelously. It sits in my pocket daily and while the edges have a polished look to be expected from well-handled leather, the wallet is as good as new. 0 loose threads and no separation of the leather pieces that I can see. Will update again in the future.

Working great for me
Over the years I have gotten to the point where I just carry my DL and a few credit cards. I travel quite a bit and carry little or no cash, so I tired of having a wallet and the discomfort associated with it either being in my hip pocket or "weighing down" my sport coat. I then decided to carry my few cards and DL in my pant pocket. This was not the best solution and after some research I came across the AlpineSwiss Leather Card Case, ordered it and could not be happier so far. It is very well made, looks good, is thin and comfortable, and while the cards are snug (this can be viewed as a positive), it has room for four cards and you can either place a fifth card or cash in the "middle compartment". I highly recommend.
