Fits great, looks good and doesn’t weigh as much as it looks. The only problem that I have is that it did not fit the wheelie bar. I had to modify the plastics to get it to fit correctly. Also, tons of screws with no directions means having to figure out where each one goes before putting it all together.

When I initially bought the 272R Transmission from Traxxas, I was told that it was "bulletproof"... Well the GEARS are, but the plastic housing is not..TL;DR broke the casing and found this replacement being FULL aluminum and the gears fit PERFECTLY.. I cannot recommend this enough for a BETTER direct replacement.

My favorite thing about this transmission is how much easier it comes apart to service the differential than the stock transmission, its a lot more in line with current higher end race cars, where its just a couple screws and the transmission lifts up to reveal the diff. Very nice feature!

Great replacements case. Gears fit perfectly. Easy to assemble. Accepts aftermarket Gears aswell as stock
