Where is it made from?

You are safe, made from Japanese Stainless Steel.. But for future reference, it does not matter where things are made, what does matter is the QA process at the end. Think iphone / samsung phones and tablets, all made in China. The vast majority of things are made in China and 99% work fine.. It is when you bargain hunt to the point of being ridiculous that you get in trouble. Like seeing a pair of nail clippers that for the weight should cost at least $5 in materials but are being sold for 49c... But I digress, buy these, I have had them for 4 years now and they still look brand new and still sharp as a tack. Best nail clippers in the world..

How long are these clippers? Shorter than the Seki Edge SS-101 or SS-106 clippers?

Product Dimensions: 3 x 0.4 x 0.6 inches. The mouth edge linear dimension is a tad less than 1 cm or 3/8 of an inch. Seki Edge SS-101 is 0.6 x 2 x 6.5 inches hence much longer and wider than SS-109. SS-106 clipper is 2.6 x 0.6 x 0.5 inches, which is shorter and wider than SS-109.

How wide is the clipping blade?

It is the standard width for finger nail clippers, not wide like toenail clippers. Sorry, I don’t have an exact measurement; just know they are average fingernail width.

I've only used drug store clippers and am so frustrated with my fingers slipping and never much control. Wonder about these, do your fingers slide?

The file part of the clipper is on the top of the clipper where your thumb goes, so its roughness keeps your thumb from slipping.
