Ideal for the big man.. Comfortable and durable. I wear these for my long hours on my feet as a healthcare worker. Yeah they look kinda “classic “ but that doesn’t really matter on hour 11 of a 12 hour shift. They are also tough and easy to clean. When you’ve stepped in some of the stuff I’ve stepped in, that’s important. These provide the right balance of support and durability for the long haul. I am a heavy guy and I’ve destroyed the soft fluffy guts of many “walking on a cloud” walking shoes leaving my feet badly and unevenly supported and aching. The non slip sole is a life saver and very effective. These are definitely functions determine form, but you won’t be sorry. This is my 5th pair in 4 years. That’s a great track record considering I crushed the life out of 150$ brooks beasts in two months. Highly recommend.

i loved these shoes at first. now i would say , only like. they have a semi-rugged look i really like, they are great on rainy days, very water resistant and good traction for wet surfaces. they are the best shoes i've ever owned in terms of standing comfortably in them all day. if you stand a lot, put these on.However, they aren't as good for walking. Maybe I never fully broke them in, probably didn't, and full disclosure, I was really out of shape and my feet were literally weak from lack of use at the time, but my feet would get tired in these walking for very long.So standing, amazing. looks, great. traction, great. walking, eh.also one developed a squeak in it during the first week of wearing them. I think this may be part of why i never broke them in properly. I think maybe that squeak finally went away, though.

Comfortable. Quality leather uppers and slip resistant soles. I like the fact that the shoe opens wide so I can slide my foot in without needing to wiggle and force in my foot The reinforced eyelets are a nice touch. I’ve bought similar shoes from the big box stores but the quality does not match these shoes from Sketchers. I had to exchange the first pair - I had ordered a size 11W for a wider foot but there was too much room inside the shoe. The regular size 11 fits much better. I give Amazon five stars for their exchange and refund procedure and wouldn't hesitate to order shoes (or clothes) from Amazon in the future. Excellent shoes - easy online order - no shipping with Prime AND sitting on my doorstep in two days!

I bought these shoes for my husband. He is a General Manager for a local automotive repair shop. Let me start by saying we only buy sketchers brand and his last pair lasted him a complete year before they were just falling apart and I forced him to throw them in the trash. I always buy his shoes from Amazon because he doesn't have the extra time to go the store and try them on and pay more money than we have to. So I find a good looking pair and have them sent to the house. I ordered these because they looked sturdy and dependable and slightly dressy so he could wear them to his frequent manager meetings also. He wore these for 2 days and refused to wear them any more because they were too heavy to wear all day. So although they are nice, and we will keep them for dress shoes, they do not serve an everyday purpose very well. I ended up having to look up the exact pair that I had ordered from him before and ordered them again.

These are described as relaxed fit, so that implies a little more space than assumed for a particular size. They are very comfortable, do not allow so much excess space that the fit feels sloppy, just unconstrained. There is a patch of memory foam on the sole on the heel which adds to the comfort but other insoles may provide greater cushion for those who already have back or foot pain. The vital component of these shoes, the fribble slip resistant tread, works excellently. If the shoe never gets scuffed/scraped, remains perfectly dry on its upper portion then these may last as long as you might hope, but if used in normal working conditions they may quickly degrade.However. I would NOT recommend this particular model of Sketcher Cottonwood work shoe as IT IS INFERIOR. The thin "leather" is rubber coated but too quickly bubbled and cracked and peeled which soon rendered the shoe unusable. I would highly recommend a similar model (https://amazon.com/gp/product/B00ENRMY5U) which is much more obviously made of sewn leather, and also means the toe to instep portion is two pieces instead of one. This better model has all the same qualities (relaxed fit, fribble sole, very similar appearance) that are very nice about this one except that (https://amazon.com/gp/product/B00ENRMY5U) is much better constructed of thicker *actual* leather rather than a rubber coating atop a filler atop what may be thin leather.

I have went through 3 pairs of these shoes, they wear absolutely wonderful for me, i take the wide shoe and these are perfect for me. This pair is a year old with every day wear replacement. I would recommend this product not only because of the quality but also the comfort of a slip resistant sole.

Shoes fit comfortably, but did not last as expected. Leather uppers are cracking after only random wearing through the weeks. A little over a year old and can't use for work anymore. Also, the soles tend to pick up small gravel/dirt or any other particulate material you may walk on. I would NOT recommend these shoes.

If you spend long hours in your feet, these shoes are for you. But the female version of you are female.Comfortable fit from the start! No break in period.I bought these for my brothers-in-law who has foot problems, from being on his feet for long hours. He absolutely loves them. Said his feet feel brand new!!
