I Don't Always Wear Athletic Shoes, But When I Do I Insist On New Balance
My first set of New Balance shoes was purchased in 1982 while "living near/working in" Boston MA.I had developed very painful shin splints. The problem began when running in newly purchased Brand N running shoes (a well known, very high quality shoe).Fortunately, I had access to well qualified sports medicine physician who recommended trying NB shoes. He said that NBs had recently incorporated high quality orthotics into their shoes. And, NB shoes were of equal or better quality and much less expensive than most competitors' "equivalent" product.I bought the shoes and began using them exclusively when running. My shin splints quickly healed.I admit that, maybe my shin splints resolved for other reasons. That said, I continue to wear NB athletic shoes for walking, cross training, most daily outdoor activities, etc. (I don't run any more). My NB shoes feel good, look good, fit well, are very durable, and remain very cost competitive.

size mystery, but good shoes
Other than being too small to put on, the shoes are very nice. So how would I know without wearing them? Because I bought the identical NB model and size a few years ago and I couldn't be happier. But gee--identical manufacturer, model, and size...how could the first pair fit perfectly while this pair is too small to even try out? No one seems to be interested in this question, but if it is not pursued won't the same thing happen to someone else? Caveat emptor.P.S. I sent the following Email to New Balance on 12/4/17; no useful response yet.A few years ago I bought a pair of New Balance Men's 624 USA size 10.5 D, and I have really enjoyed using them. I ordered a new pair from Amazon, same size and model. They were too tight to use (not wide enough), and I returned them. Today I went to an actual store. The same problem exists there--10.5 D was too tight. I tried on 10.5 EE, and they were a little loose, but I can adapt with heavy socks and firm lacing, and so I bought them. No, my feet have not grown. The salesman measured my feet and 10.5 D is correct (the width is even slightly LESS than D).I believe that the new ones are too tight for the marked size because the shape of the "box" at the front of the shoe has changed. For my old shoes (that fit), the upper rises vertically from the sole on both sides before curving to the middle. But for the new shoes the upper rises at a steep angle from the little-toe side towards the middle, leaving less usable room on that side.To help other on-line buyers I intend to post this information at Amazon. I am writing to you first to get your comments. I think it would be in your interest to fix this error, else your shoes will start getting "too-small" reviews from everyone..

Great Shoe But Seems to Run Small (Fixed by Getting Larger by Half Size)
I have worn versions of these New Balance trainers for 20 years. it has been a great shoe and the new ones I jsust bought feel great. However, I want to warn people as other reviewers warned me. Although I am a size 10.5 in almost all shoes and ordinarily my foot which is slightly on the wider side fits a standard D shoe. However, because of the reviews warning that New Balance is making this type of shoe (608, 623,624) on the small and narrow side I went with a size 11 wide (2e). The shoe fits perfectly and comfortably. However, I do not think my standard 10.5 would have worked. So I feel like I am being misleading in saying "fits as expected"

not many size 13 3x's out there
about 12 years ago i thought i found the "MAGIC" pair of shoes for me. i had a motorcycle accident and messed up my left anckle and foot. spent hundreds of dollars trying to find a shoe that i could wear and walk with a little pain. i found Propet they had a shoe called Stability walker size 13 3x it was perfect.no to little pain, shoe would last 4-6 months untill left heal would wear down. Several years ago Propet changed manufacture and the shoe called Stability walker change to Stabiltiy walker sneaker. Quality and comfort was a thing in the past it is a TOTAL POS. New Balance 624 13 3x is now the best shoe i can findall most a good as the original Stability walker. I am on my second pair. swap out insole and put in Dr scholl's double pillow cushons. and now my feet do not bother me. At 62 it is something else that bothers me. With these New Balance 624 13 3x i can walk without pain. Thank you NB please do not change manufactures

Great shoes!
NB runs small and narrow. So I get a size bigger and wider than normal. These shoes are sturdy and support my 385 lb just fine. I always use arch/heel/ball-of-foot inserts and they fit perfect inside these. I have 2 pair of different NB and wear them all day, every day. They’re the only shoe that I can wear for all my feet issues. They last me 3-5 years normally. The only ones that did NOT last me that long were the light weight foam sole NB. I’ll never buy those again. Not for me.

New Balance MX624V2, Black Size 16D
I have a longer than average feet (size 16) and I weigh more than 250 lbs so it used to be a challenge to find work shoes that were comfortable enough to be in all day while I was actively up and down from my desk. I've used New Balance Cross Trainers for years as a solution and they've generally been very good through different models. I really like the 624 in black as a work shoe. Length and width fit well.and it's comfortable. I just tossed my first pair of 624s after 2+ years of daily use - the only issue those shoes had was the top of the area that surrounds the ankle - the fabric had worn away and you could see the stuffing. The rest of the shoe was in good shape. I'm hoping the version 2 of the 624 holds up as well as version 1. I can recommend them so far for their comfort and fit.

Support and look good.
First I would like to say New Balance is about one of the most confortable shoes out of the box. They look good, feel good and are nice to walk in. The leather is a bit thinner then my old rebalance but hat isn't anything to complain about and probably helps with the weight. Have, did and always will own a pair of New Balance Shoes. My shoe size in everything is 12 and these fit as expected, like a 12 should.
