I'm not sure why there are any less than perfect reviews on this. This has nearly completely healed my problem with about a month of usage, and I plan to use it regularly from now on. I have dealt with extremely stubborn problems for 10 years since giving birth. I've tried EVERYTHING. This is the first thing that has actually solved my problem instead of just relieving symptoms. I use it 2x a day, everyday and will eventually cut down to 1x a week when I feel like I'm in a safe zone. Yes it smells minty, I'm not sure why that's a problem? You really can't smell it from a couple of feet away. It also does relieve symptoms too! It's just an all together amazing product. Well worth the money.

Interesting fact the NIH (National Institute of Health) did studies on the use of Mayinglong Musk with amazing results for people post op who underwent hemorrhoid surgery for its remarkable healing properties. Like everyone else here I’ve tried all the creams. I suffer with internal hemorrhoids and those buggers are impossible to get rid of. I just bought this and honestly the smell is so overwhelmingly strong I was debating on not even trying it, but decided to anyway. It also has a “cooling” effect due to the herbal blend so expect some burning especially if you have external roids. The sensation goes away several hours later so does the lingering odor. This is a very thick balm so if you use the insertion method, you are going to waste alot of the product. They do include 6 plastic inserts for less of a mess. So far I’ve only used this twice and feel it made a difference. For the price this is pretty reasonable!

Not gonna lie, this stuff has a slightly pungent aroma, but the relief it provides is second to none, and the smell isn't so offensive that you'll stand out in a crowd.

So, let's just say I've had no luck with over the counter preparations and my behind. Preparation H ointments, creams, plugs, even Riley's (Hospital for Children, Indianapolis) prescription butt ointment, none of it helped. I did a little research on home care of bottoms, and several pages swore by this ointment from China. I looked on amazon, and it got great reviews. It came today. The ingredients looked quite a bit like the American stuff, but had some nice oriental sounding ingredients as well. The instructions were simple, and claimed the product would provide a pleasant fragrance with soothing qualities. LIES! It smells like mildewed gym socks with a slight nod to a dried up mouse carcass, and I think the great reviews, after the 'soothing' icy tentacles of fire fade away (at least I hope it fades, it hasn't yet and its been 2 hours) were that the reviewers rectal nerves are so permanently damaged they can't feel them any more!!! (j/k) ***UPDATE*** I must say, I am quite more comfortable this morning. But even after a nice hot shower and soaping, the 'pleasant fragrance' lingered, so it's a night time only thing. I must say, tho, that I did get a much better nights sleep in awhile, because the cats refused to cuddle with me! It did help and I will keep using it. I think anything would be better than what I was going through. For the ney-sayers, well, everyones unique in some way, and just because it didn't work for you doesn't make the people for whom it did work, liars. Moral of story is: if you have blown an o-ring, even the tiniest of bits, don't spend the whole day squatting while your friends work on your yard! Get a chair! And if its so bad that OTC preps and this dont work, see your damn doctor! Nothing that is under $10 is going to fix a blown out vein thats severely clotted. My 2 cents: I will keep using it, and only took off a star for the "fragrance"

Let me start out by saying that I have never before had a hemorrhoid. FOUR DAYS before my vacation to a THEME PARK I woke up and felt a (literal) pain in my butt. Obviously quite alarmed, I ran to the bathroom and checked in the mirror and saw a lump, bigger than a grape, colored in the most gruesome shades of blue, purple, red, and black. A thrombosed, external hemorrhoid. It hurt to touch. It hurt to walk. It hurt to sit. By the second day, it hurt so bad I couldn't even lay down without being in pain. I have a really high tolerance for pain, and It was easily a 9.5 out of 10 on the pain scale, if not higher. I kid you not when I say it is the most painful thing I have ever experienced, and I've had some painful injuries in the past. I had to call out of work because I literally couldn't function. No matter what I did, I barely got any relief. I bought every medicine and home remedy under the sun (aloe Vera, witch hazel, preparation h, etc) and while a couple of them made the pain SLIGHTLY better, the small relief faded in a couple hours and I was back to being bent over in pain. I got on Amazon in tears and searched for "hemorrhoid relief" and this popped up. I was desperate. I paid for overnight shipping and crossed my fingers it would work. As soon as it arrived I put it on. It's a strange dusty pink color and the smell (to me) just smells medicated, like menthol. Personally, I don't mind that smell at all. It is strong, I will say that, but with clothes on I couldn't smell it at all. I followed the directions and applied once in the morning and once at night (after throughly wiping the area with a baby wipe or preparation h wet wipe) generously all over the lump. When I woke up the next day, I was expecting for the unrelenting pain to kick in... And it didn't. I could actually lay down pain free. I did feel it while sitting, standing, and walking, but I would rate the pain at a 5 - nothing I couldn't deal with for a work day. By the end of the 8 hour day, it was starting to hurt a bit more. Maybe a 6.5 of 10. I rushed home, looked in the mirror, and to my surprise... It was bleeding. Also to my surprise, it had shrunk in size to about half of what it was. I cleaned it up, took a sitz bath and shower, put more of this stuff on, and went to bed. By the day I was leaving for vacation, I would rate the pain at a 4 of 10. I was dreading driving in the car for 4 hours. But much to my surprise, I barely felt it. The first day I went to the theme park, I did feel it, but barely. In fact, I would even say I only felt it because I was thinking about it. I had no problem walking around (for 15+ miles, mind you) or getting on and off rides. When I got to the hotel, it was bleeding some more; draining. And also, had dropped in size again. By the second vacation day, I didn't feel it at all. Literally, at all. I was in shock. I walked at least 18 miles the next 3 days and felt NOTHING. I applied the product as instructed on those days and every morning when I checked it, the tissue looked much better and the hemorrhoid had shrunk more. I am happily reporting today, roughly a week and a half since its appearance, that I am entirely pain free. It has shrunk to barely nothing in size and it gets smaller but the day. I would not recommend anything else for hemorrhoids than this product. Absolutely nothing. In response to those saying they felt a "burning" when applying it the first time - I did feel a tingling sensation (almost like plumping lip gloss or bengay) but I let it sit on despite how strange it felt. I definitely wouldn't call it a pain, but more of a strong tingle. Seriously, if you're suffering from hemorrhoids, buy this. I'm buying at least 10 to keep them just in case this ever happens again. Word of advice: buy more than one. The package is tiny! But totally worth it!

Very costly, better to use any Indian Ayurvedic product. Let's support Indian Economy than these illicit Chinese products.

This tiny cream is much over hyped, it doesn't give you any relief. For the first 5mins it will give you a burning sensation that's all. Been using the Cream for 2 weeks now but it's of no use. Do not buy it!

No good. Did not help stall. Not recommended.
