Almost as good as those I had in Italy
Last month my wife and I spent two weeks in Italy. With cocktails, it apparently was customary to be provided with a tray of snacks which included Castelvetrano olives. They were delicious! When we got home, I looked for them in the local grocery store and they were expensive! I found these on amazon and the price was very reasonable and I ordered them. First, others commented that their can was dented. Mine was in perfect condition with no dents or dings anywhere. Secondly, though they weren't as large as those we had in Italy, they were just as delicious. They are firm and buttery. And like a potato chip, you can't stop at one! But since they're a healthy snack, that's fine. So glad I took a shot at them. By the way, these are the whole olives with pits so maybe that's why they are nicely firm versus the reviews of the pitted ones where some complained of those being soggy.

Best Olives EVERRRR
I ate these delicious Castelvetrano olives at a restaurant in LA and have been hooked on them since then! They are so good and so fresh! I first introduced them to my fiancé who HATES olives, but after trying these , he's a fan now (I do add some sumac, lemon pepper and fennel pollen to the olives to make it a little fancier for him). My family and friends have also tried them and now request it at dinner parties. Had to change my monthly subscription to receive them bi-monthly now lol I won't lie I was really worried about the can being delivered dented, but so far so good! I'm on my 3rd shipment and haven't had an issue yet hopefully I won't jinx myself.

Excellent Olives Occasional Can Issue
I love these olives. I buy a can a few times each year and transfer them to sterilized jars for storage in the refrigerator.Of the many cans I've ordered, a few have arrived dented. I don't mind a slightly indented can, but any bulging dented can makes me nervous about possible spoilage. 😬 Botulism is no fun at parties.Cheers to Amazon for a quick refund that allows me to reorder right away. Nevertheless, I wish they would be more careful about checking their canned foods for dents before shipping. More protective packaging for canned foods would also be good. It's possible that this can was just dropped on its way to my house. I don't like to waste food, but I'm not going to risk poisoning. As the wisest mushroom foragers say, "When in doubt, throw it out."

Absolutely Delicious! Meraviglioso, Favoloso, Gustoso! Best Olives Ever!
REAL Italian olives with an outstanding taste. If you like green olives, give these Partanna Premium Select Castelvetrano Whole Olives a try, you will be in love. These olives are far superior to anything you get from regular grocery stores. I'm Italian and I can tell you that no olive even begins to come close to the flavor. They are buttery, smooth, and full bodied flavored. I am addicted to these olives. The taste is so good, they stand alone as a delicious snack. Perfect for antipasti, too. As soon as this huge beautiful colorful can of olives arrive, I cannot wait to get the can open. I fill a huge bowl, drizzle the olives with Partanna olive oil and I can taste Italy. I even mix a bit of brine from these olives with olive oil, Italian spices, cracked pepper, and minced garlic, and it makes a delicious salad dressing, or a wonderful dip for warm crusty bread. They are my new favourite crave. The Partanna Olive Oil is simply the best, also. I am a loyal Partanna customer for many years. And I would be an Amazon customer for these olives and Partanna olive oil alone. Yes, they are truly THAT good!Il sole e il gusto dell'Italia. Buon appetito!

These were fairly decent
They had a reasonably good flavor. But they did lack some firmness which was a little bit disappointing I don't like smooshy olives which is why I buy olives with the pits still in them. I won't be buying them again but I did eat them all.

Label discrepancy.
Though the label on the can indicated the olives to be whole they were pitted. This was the case with two different orders.

Great for dirty martinis!
The only reason I bought these was for dry dirty martinis, and they did not disappoint. They un-pitted fruit is just slightly crisp to bite into and the meat is both buttery and briny. The brine itself is flavorful and not overly salty and is not bitter. The spec in which I am using them:2 oz Tito’s vodka1/2 oz Dolin Dry vermouth1/2 oz olive brineShaken, strained into chilled martini glass, garnished with 3 olives

A Tasty Deal !
Got my order today of "Partanna Premium Select Castelvetrano Whole Olives." In opening the can, my first impression was "wow" these look fresh. While I am unsure if the pack date was "12:22" of 2019, the best buy date was clearly labeled as 6/17/2021. With regard to olive size - I would saw they are "medium" in size, and the overall size was consistent. In tasting the olives the flesh was firm. Despite being packed in brine with a little citric acid, they also aren't too salty. My impression is they also slightly less salty than the pitted ones you would get at a store's gourmet olive bar. Other notes the "can" arrived with a small dent on the side. No biggie though based on how the can is designed. It popped right out. The interior is coated in some type of white plastic or synthetic coating so the olives don't take on a "tin" taste. If you have a 1 gallon pickle jar the vast majority of olives will fit, with another 2 or 2 1/4 cups extra.
