Building Robots with LEGO Mindstorms NXT 1st Edition

pros - this is a book by several different experts on nxt - this one has the deepest dives into hardware and software of the several i have looked at - most nxt books are for beginners, but not this one.cons - the graphics and printing are of poor qualityi would love to see a book on tetrix for ftc competitions

I coach an FLL team and have about a dozen NXT books. Many of them are great but this one is probably the most valuable. It focuses on fundamental concepts, that once grasped open up a world of possibilities.This is not a "follow the instructions and build the ball bot" kind of book (although I love those too) but it is packed with valuable information. The info on differential gears is worth the price alone.If you are an FLL coach - especially one like me who does not have a mech engineering background (I am a software guy) -- I recommend this for you.

This is a great book. Motivates you to learn not just build. I used LDD program to verify the builds and learned so much from doing that. Easier to build and understand the concepts taught. Recommended

Great book - we used it for our first year robotics team last year. A little over some of the sixth graders heads, but they'll grow into it!

I thought the product was exactly what I needed at the time that I purchased it and the purchase process was smooth and efficient.

Hard to find some of these old books. The old mindstorms set doesn't work so good but the book is just fine. Gives lot of info on how to use the lego set

Good book to read but printing quality is very poor ! I can not believe this is bought from Amazon....

I received this book today and noticed its a P.O.D (Print On Demand) title, the images look to be of high resolution but having them printed in black and white makes them hard to view. can you release a full colour version as in this day an age there is no reason not to.

Excellent Lego NXT Mindstorms book. If only the illustration were in colour.......
