Cant' say enough good things about this wonderful company!
Unbeknownst to me (or to one another), two of our kids gave us different digital photoframes from Amazon for Christmas. Both highly rated. Neither was a PhotoSpring. Each required a separate app; one was entirely cloud based -- designed I think, to have photos "pushed" onto it from across the country to entertain grandparents who don't know which end is up on anything electronic. Great idea, but that's not us. So I initiated an Amazon return (very unusual for me) of both, while intensively researching a single alternative digital photoframe. I'm SO happy I found Photo Spring! Before making my purchase, I had a few questions. Other reviewers had praised PhotoSpring's customer service, so I emailed them and was delighted to receive a friendly, thoroughly detailed response from Charles; his answers clarified any uncertainties, making it obvious that PhotoSpring ticked all the right boxes for us. Then, when I replied that I'd placed my order, Charles PROACTIVELY let me know that some of their Amazon products had developed under-powering issues, which they'd corrected with a new, improved AC power adapter, and he immediately sent me a new replacement adapter, which arrived even before my frame from Amazon!Set-up was a breeze! I loved that I could do everything in my lap, since the battery (a HUGE and unique plus with this product) came already charged. And I didn't even have to fool with an app or account, although they do offer both -- because PhotoSpring provides a dedicated email address for each frame, which you can share (or not) with anyone you choose, if you want to allow them direct uploading privileges. (There are other methods, too, like an SD slot or USB connection, and a web portal, which we haven't tried yet.) Before long I had the first hundred and fifty photos installed on the frame. That's just a tiny fraction of the frame's capacity. I haven't uploaded any videos yet, but outside articles I've read describe the PhotoSpring as being the gold standard for digital video, so I'm not worried about that. And all your content belongs to you and remains solely in your possession -- nothing stays on their servers (all located in the US) beyond the few seconds it takes for transfer to your frame.I love that I can organize my photos in separate folders, indicate favorites, and edit the appearance of each, if needed, for best viewing. There are so many customizable settings, more than I have time to list now... suffice it to say that any time I thought, gee, it would be nice to be able to do this or that, and then explored the intuitive touch-screen menu, sure enough I could! The frame looks beautiful displayed on a table in our den (it has two different looks & stands, with slots for wall-hanging, too) and it's also great to be able to unplug and scroll through the slide show manually on the sofa. When family & friends text photos, or share them online, I can choose the ones I want and send them lickety-split to my frame! This would make such a great gift for family members or friends with any level of tech-savvy (or lack thereof) to enjoy a truly customizable digital photo experience, while retaining as much or as little privacy and control as they desire. With their truly remarkable customer support, Charles & Dan et al. have made it so easy for me to come onboard, and I feel confident that they would provide outstanding service should any need arise. I am very happy that I found and chose this wonderful (U.S.-based) company, and so delighted and satisfied with my new PhotoSpring digital frame!

No motion detection. Video sounds low usually. 5-star customer service though!!
I ordered this (mainly) to remember my beloved soulmate and fur baby. I have lots and lots of photos and videos. I chose this frame mainly because of the ability to upload videos up to 5 minutes in length. The majority of digital frames limit this to 15-30 seconds. There is no remote-control device. The app does not control the frame either; its main purpose is for uploading videos/photos. The last photo shows the premium frame's stand (I returned the first frame after contacting PhotoSpring's customer support and upgraded to the premium frame). More on that in a moment.Setup is pretty straightforward. Some that are not tech savvy might need a little help. The frame supports thumb/flash drives and SD cards for added storage. The built-in storage will hold a LOT of videos and photos. Using the web-based utilities, it is super easy to add photos/videos to the frame. They upload very quickly that way. One can email them to the frame too. Friends and family can email them to your frame. Unlike some frames, this one supports numerous photos and videos being uploaded at the same time, or rather in the same session.I was not satisfied with the sound quality of the regular frame and contacted their customer service. These people (Charles and Dan) were 5-star! It was suggested that I upgrade to their premium frame. For another $25, I was upgraded to the premium frame, plus they paid to ship my regular frame to them, transferred my current videos/photos to the new one, and then shipped it back to me. This took about 1 week altogether. I'm still not completely thrilled with the sound, but I think it's partly because the speakers are in the back of the frame. I have it setting across the room (about 12 feet away and I am a little hard of hearing). The frame is made so that it can be detached from the main frame and passed around to guests or held in your hands. The frame is rechargeable and can be left detached. The premium frame offers controls for volume, etc., on the back, whereas the regular frame is all done via touchscreen. I did not notice a big problem with fingerprints due to the touchscreen. The photos and videos are vibrant. The cord is long enough for the most uses. The premium frame will need an adapter since the power cord is USB on the end that does not plug into the frame. There're several settings to allow how you want to have videos display (auto play with sound, etc.). I do sort of wish it had motion sensing so it would turn off when I am not in the room or when there is no motion. It can be set to play on a schedule. This is also done via touchscreen.I have had several digital frames, as well as my iPhone, that supposedly rotate pictures so that you don't see the same ones over and over again. None, including this one, seem to be great at having an algorithm that ensures that you don't have a bunch of repeats in what you see. I have over 600 photos/videos on this frame right now and see the same ones over and over a whole lot throughout the day, without seeing a lot of the others. But such has been my experience with all of these types of frames so far.I gave this 5 stars. It is probably a 4.5-star frame, but the outstanding customer service bumped it up for me.

Excellent Frame
I was looking for a frame that could import photos easily from a variety of sources and this really fit the bill. The setup was amazingly easy and I have imported photos via email, the app, and from a USB drive. Each method was easy, seamless, and fairly quick. One note, email importing is somewhat limited by the file size allowed by emails so I couldn't send a video or a bunch of photos at once. That's why I downloaded the app which works well. The picture quality seems fine although my photos are almost all from iPhones of various ages and I'm not the greatest photographer so I can't comment on the quality from high end camera equipment. The settings are also very intuitive and easy to use. My only minor peeve is that the random slide show shuffle seems to grab 5-10 photos in a row from a given spot on your list but it otherwise seems quite random. It you're looking for a reasonably priced, versatile easy to use frame this is an excellent choice.

Not advised but does not come with an Australian power plug
Product good but I ordered off the Amazon Australian site and the product was delivered with a US power plug. There was no advice that a US to AUS adapter plug would be necessary & though I do have travel plug adapter it is a gift so I needed to make a purchase.
