Too cloudy, not effective
Liquid is cloudy making it difficult to see the bubbles. Takes a while to get going also.

Gorgeous Lava Lamp!
I grew up with a Mathmos Lava Lamp which I unfortunately got rid of some years ago and have missed it ever since.This lamp’s 7 colour-changing LED lights create a mesmerizing display that captivates both kids and adults alike.The DC-powered design is a great safety feature, especially compared to traditional AC-powered lamps. The lamp is easy to set up and use, with a simple button to switch between colours. The non-bubble design ensures a smooth and consistent flow of the liquid, enhancing the overall visual experience.While not as attractive as a Mathmos original lava lamp, this is a great replacement with good safety features.

A wonderfully retro lava lamp without a halogen bub.
The media could not be loaded. My kids had only ever seen these on TV until this arrived. With the disappearance of halogen bulb and LED everything I did wonder how this would work. However it seems although they use a LED to illuminate the lamp, there is now a heating element inside to 'melt' the 'lava'. Just like the ones of old, it still takes sometime to get flowing, but once it does the effect is just as good.

Takes ages to get going
Heating element seems to be a little weak as found it took 2 hours to heat up the wax to the point it even started to move which begs the question whether this is still more efficient.Quite cheap feeling in terms of the button to cycle through the RGB modes & no fancy colours or anything.Purely based on the length of time it takes to get going - I just can’t recommend.
