I would read these approximately six stars out of five. My SUV is a full sized vehicle with three rows of seating plus a cargo area. It was fitted with four lamp receptacles featuring incandescent lamp tubes. The quality of light they provided was minimally satisfactory at best. I don’t have any hard numbers to report, but I can relate that these LED lamps were a drastic improvement. Also, they will dim as the originals did. These lamps have the ability to change from a brilliant white light to red. I chose these specifically for the few situations where I want my night vision to remain unimpaired after I turn this light off. And to that end, they work beautifully. The only comment I’d like to make about the red is that it’s a little brighter than it should be, other than that it works exactly as advertised. What isn’t clear in the instructions is how to switch colors. It’s done by toggling the dome light on and off twice. When you do it rapidly, it will switch to red the second time you turn it on. My vehicle has a separate switch for each lamp in the ceiling as well as the collective dome light switch on the dashboard. It will also switch from white to red if you toggle the dome lights from the dashboard as well. I highly recommend these to improve the interior lighting, and decrease heat, production and energy consumption. They produce a brilliant, white light that does a much better job than the yellow hue from the incandescent lamps. Another plus is incandescent lamps have a much shorter service life compared to LED lamps. So, these will probably outlast the life of the vehicle. No trouble installing them whatsoever. I did notice that one of them appeared to be burned out on installation. It turns out that while it wasn’t polarity sensitive, it was very sensitive. How is positioned inside the bracket. So, if it doesn’t appear to work, try taking a close look at how it fits in the electrical terminal holders in your vehicle. Diagnostic tip: it doesn’t matter how it gets 12 V, the lamp will light up irrespective of the source of voltage. This is a quick and easy way to test it. If you have jumper wires, and, don’t look directly at it when you turn it on. They also don’t appear to be polarity sensitive. This means it doesn’t seem to care which way it was plugged into the socket, it would work either way.

I installed a dome and map light assembly from an older vehicle in my camper and wanted to have a switchable red or white cabin light. These bulbs fit the bill. Switch it on and it is white light switch it off and on again and it is night-vision-saving red. Love the bulb and have been using it for almost a year.

Great quality. Extremely bright. Hard to sync the colors properly if using 2 in a dome light. Regardless, I’d buy these again, best LED done lights I’ve EVER bought. It’s so bright (I took deflectors off) that o can see clearly underneath my seats. That’s how bright they are. 5 star seller. 5 star lights.

These were easy to replace our original Perko bulbs in the overhead lights in our boat. The feature of coming on white and then red with the next off/on cycle is nice. The white is brighter (as expected) when you need to see a detail (or look for something!). Unfortunately, the red is not as red as the always red bulbs we used on the cockpit lights (different style bulb).
