I purchased these maca pills because I was looking for an easier way of getting my maca in without always having to make smoothies or teas. I have been taking these for about a week + and I can't say that I feel a whole lot of difference with these. I normally take the Nativas Organic Gelatinized Powder and the effects were Very noticeable and fairly quickly. I have been taking 2 a day. I am considering upping the dosage to 3 as I believe you can take up to 4 a day. If anything, I may have noticed that I am a little more alert...but as for energy and libido; it's a No Go so far. Perhaps there is less yellow maca in this brand than what is in my previous brand...? Not sure. As for taste and smell of the pills I have no complaints. There is very little smell and I only taste them a tiny bit while swallowing them down. I will finish this bottle and give an update when I am done.

I am a fan of maca root and was excited to try this brand but soon lost favour when a strange smell began to manifest from the pills. When you opened the bottle an unpleasant odour wafted from inside. Eventually, I threw the unfinished bottle away because I simply could not stand the stench. I went back to my original brand, which is a pill not capsule-based.
