Cheap but fun
Cheaply made in some parts but for the low price and the amount of different things it does, and the fun my son has with it, it's a good buy. The actual toy seems fairly sturdy it is more the fur and loose threading of the clothing that is somewhat poor.

Great toy
Great toy my boys love them! My only reason for giving 4 stars is the fact that I bought 2 and they both arrived not working and when I checked the batteries they had both leaked fluid

Great gift as child’s toy or novelty adult present!
A lovely little monster character that works as endlessly entertaining toy that will drag kids away from the tablet for a spell or as a fun pop art ornament, evoking ‘My Pet Monster’ and similar toys from the 1980s, for adults.

Enjoyable gross-out humor.
The kids seem to love this thing. The Unboxing experience is designed to be a big part of the toys appeal for children, and something that they will want to do over an over. The idea is that this is a small monster which has been locked in a crate. The child uses the attached 'crowbar' to first break open the padlock and then pry open the crate (both done by pushing the crowbar into the appropriate slots), upon which the monster is pushed up via the spring-loaded platform it is stood on and opens the lid.The monster itself is built well and makes lots of sounds based on the orientation it is being held in. It shouts and rumbles when you pull its tongue and its eyes light up. It spends a lot of time slurping, burping and trumping which is the most hilarious thing to my two young boys. Each comes with a piece of food which they respond to when it is pushed into their mouth, but my children have had difficulty pushing these into the monsters hands securely, and have quickly become lost. The toy is good, and I feel the ability to release the monster from its crate over and over again has added a lot of mileage to something which would have otherwise been buried in the toy box.

Unhappy child on his birthday.
I bought this for my son for his birthday. He was very happy when he opened his present. However when he went to play with him he said it doesn’t work I thought it needed batteries, but when I went to put them in I saw that it had batteries but they have corroded inside and leaked my son is very now very sad as the toy doesn’t work!

Nostalgia. Kids loved it.
It reminded me of 90s toys like Boglins and My Pet Monster. The box is cool, you use the bottom of the crowbar to open the padlock and chain and the the top end to push the button to open the box and the monster pops out.You click his horn to make eyes spin (sometimes it got stuck but you can manually nudge it and it rolls Into normal position easily. Pull his tongue to make him scream and vibrate. Feed him pizza and you can record if you hold his tummy for ten second and when light flashes record your voice, then play back when you press his tummy. When put him back in box he snores...Kids loved it. It has a heavy feel to it. The material elements could be a bit more premium, especially around the Velcro section where battery and on button are. However, this is not really a concern.

Item arrived damaged!
I bought this as a daily deal a few days ago. It was a Christmas present for my son from Santa. It looked great when being unboxed. It’s so interactive with a toy style crow bar. But it didn’t work. So I presumed it didn’t have any batteries in it. I opened the battery pack only to find old batteries had leaked and corroded, damaging the battery contact points. I’ve contacted Amazon who will only issue a refund on return of the toy, not a replacement. This means I’ve got to explain to my son why I’m returning Santa’s present to Amazon :(
