The assembly instructions are very rudimentary. The bottom drawer is decorative only and not functional. Rotation is not smooth. The product is assembled with wood screws into pressed wood and fasteners are exposed when complete. It is not solid wood and is easy to identify as engineered wood product. Product is far from sturdy and will fail even if partially filled with books. Bypass this shelf for other options and save yourself the money and grief.

Very terrible Shelf, the cheap brass screws completely rip the compressed wood, leaving multiple stress cracks it even busted some of the shelf holders. The screws don't even secure the pieces some of them are very loose and could be removed with my own hand. The bookcase is now very ugly with multiple cracks and the brass screws are extremely visible. Do not recommend purchasing waste of money. I would like my money back.

I bought as a gift for adult daughter. The bookcase works well in smaller spaces. It works as described and serves it's purpose. It went together without issue but some of the pieces don't fit snuggly. The laminate finish looks straight out of the 60's, it's the cheapest looking I've ever seen. It will be placed in a corner of their bedroom where no one will really see it so she's keeping it. Hopefully once it's packed with books, the laminate finish will not be visible. I regret this purchase and would not purchase this again

Bad quality, bad packaging, terrible assembly instructions. Came with brass drywall screws to assemble majority of pieces which strips out the cheap pressed wood. Screws are visible - Nothing like product photoAbsolutely do not purchase this. I'm not even going to finish putting it together and burning it tomorrow
