Dickies - Outerwear for Men, Portland Jacket, Padded for More Warmth

I love spending time outdoors. I love every season for the changes in the weather. Now I have this, I can't wait for later in the year when it gets icy. When it arrived, I initially thought I had been sent completely the wrong size. I ordered a medium and when it arrived it looked like XXXXL! However, upon putting it on I found it to be true to size. The initial appearance was, of course, down to the padding! Fortunately when you're wearing it, the padding doesn't actually make you look too big. It's not very bulky but it certainly is warm! Just trying it on, I started feeling very toasty very quickly. This will be perfect when the weather changes. I don't know what wind resistance it will offer, but underneath a coat or jacket this will definitely keep you out in the woods, fields or mountains all day long. Returning to size... I take a medium and this is certainly true to size. It might be the slightest bit generous as far as chest measurements go, but definitely not enough to make you consider changing size. I'm quite slim and it looks and feels fine (not too baggy) on me, but even if you're very broad/large I'd still recommend just getting your usual size because there's plenty of room in it. I wouldn't call it expensive, but it's not the cheapest, and it shows in the good build quality. As one might expect from this manufacturer, it's finished well and feels quite strong and rugged. I don't think it's going to wear out any time soon. The pop-stud buttons are quick and convenient to use, and the speed which which they can be done up also means it's no effort to do them all up on a hanger to dry it in shape after washing.

This is exactly what I expected. It is sized on the big side as you would expect for an overshirt. I am a 6ft guy 38-40 chest and I find it plenty big to fit a hoodie under it. Looks good and is very warm.

Bought this for my son's birthday as he already had one in a different colour. Love that it is warm practical workwear and fashionable too. I've been with him when people have commented on it. Soft exterior material, well made and true to size.

For the price this shirt is good - it's warm, comfortable and makes you look like someone who works outdoors. However, the press studs used are extremely cheap and several failed on mine within the first few outings. I removed them all and replaced them with more sturdy press studs, which is a faff and an extra expense.

This is great for working outdoors or in the cold as it feels light but keeps you warm. This fits well but you don't feel restricted at all making it good for moving about, lifting, working. The fleece feels good with a padded inside and the press studs are perfect and I actually prefer them to a zip. It has two pockets which I quickly found useful. The sizing is good, I'm 85kgs 6ft1" and the large fits perfect. Good value product.

bought two as a family member had an a much much older one in blue, I bought two of these and the quality compared to the old one does not fill me with confidence, they are warm but they feel dirtily cheap compared to the old one

J'ai découvert cette veste grâce à un ami qui la possède en rouge, et je ne suis pas déçu de mon achat. Elle est belle et très confortable, en plus d'être bien chaude. Le prix est très attractif et pourrait inquiéter quand à la qualité au premier abord, mais force est de constater que c'est un sans faute à ce niveau. Au niveau de la coupe, voici mon cas : je fais 78 kg pour 1m80, et j'ai des épaules assez larges, donc si théoriquement, je dois porter du M, il m'arrive souvent de devoir passer au L pour certains vêtements trop serrés. Cette veste est à l'extrême opposée, avec une coupe très ample et confortable. Donc si vous êtes plutôt costauds, votre taille habituelle ira très bien. En revanche, si vous êtes plutôt fin, songez à éventuellement descendre d'une taille. Pour ce qui est de la couleur : le vert est sobre, pas trop flash, donc plutôt élégant.

Un produit Old School! Depuis le temps que j'en voulait une,je ne pensais pas qu'elle serait si peu chère. Super confortable et chaud,il y à même deux poches latérales. Par contre,ça taille super grand,j'ai pris du M alors que d'habitude je suis plus L,XL!

Une veste en polaire qui tient ses promesses. Attention, je confirme que ça taille grand : je porte usuellement du M ou du L. Là, en suivant les commentaire précédent, j'ai pris du S : avec un pull ou un autre polaire en dessous, ça va comme un gant. La veste est volumineuse, mais à condition de ne pas mettre de pull en dessous, j'ai pu l'utiliser en doublure de ma parka en coton waxé qui elle, taille vraiment large et est une vraie armure. Finitions soignées. Les coutures semblent de bonne qualité. La fermeture se fait par des boutons pression, ce qui m'inquiète toujours un peu : il faudra voir comment ils tiennent dans le temps. La veste est 100 % polyester - intérieur comme extérieur. Elle en a les avantages (prix et légèreté) et très certainement les inconvénients (se méfier du feu et sans doute ne pas espérer qu'elle tienne vraiment chaud une fois trempée) - mais si j'ai goûté les avantages, je n'ai pas testé les inconvénients et je ne compte pas le faire. Bien sûr, cela implique aussi lavage à 30, ne pas repasser etc. L'extérieur est en polaire ; l'intérieur, noir, est matelassé (comme on l'entrevoit sur la photo), façon nylon, est lisse et plus froid au contact de la peau - les manches aussi ce qui n'est pas très agréable du coup quand on a des manches courtes (T shirt ou polo). On compte 5 poches au total ; voici leurs dimensions - sachant que j'ai acheté la chemise en S : il est bien possible qu'elles soient plus grandes sur les modèles des tailles supérieures : - J'apprécie une poche intérieure côté gauche - ouverture : 14 cm de large ; profondeur : 19 cm. (dommage qu'elles ne ferme pas - mais cela doit pouvoir s'arranger en cousant un petit velcro - et qu'il n'y en ait pas en plus une à droite !). Il faudra voir à l'usage la résistance des coutures de cette poche avec un portefeuille. - Il y a aussi des poches "chauffe main" de chaque côté. Assez profondes pour y rentrer effectivement toute la main (une vingtaine de cm au plus profond). Elles aussi façon nylon - ce qui qui n'est pas idéal pour réchauffer les mains, et me fait craindre leur résistance au port d'objets lourd ou agressifs comme des clés. - enfin il y a les deux poches poitrines à rabat de 13 cm sur 13 cm, fermant avec chacune un bouton pression ; ce sont des poches de chemise usuelles pas faites en tous cas pour ranger des trucs épais. Les manches ferment aussi à bouton pression - pas réglables donc, mais pour moi, ça tombe juste. L'esthétique du produit correspond bien à la photo et au look bûcheron recherché. A titre personnel, je me serait passé du logo sur la poche poitrine gauche, mais il n'est pas trop méchant. Dernière info : il y en a pour qui ça compte négativement et j'en fais partie, c'est une veste "made in China" (malgré la marque "américanisante"). Au total : il ne faut pas en attendre des miracles, ce n'est pas une veste en laine inusable comme il en existe dans ce registre avec, il est vrai des prix sans comparaison possible. Mais c'est un produit assez chaud, de bonne facture et d'un rapport qualité prix tout-à-fait remarquable.
