I have a few different battery cameras now for home security, communicating with deliveries and keeping an eye on wildlife, so I may be a bit addicted but for good reason. Like any technology there are times when they don't work perfectly 100% of the time, so I think it's important to keep expectations reasonable, but for security on a budget I can't fault them.This particular camera has really impressed me with the range of the night vision. I keep it on black and white for night vision when trying to spot wildlife, but you can change it to colour if you wish. This also means you can choose whether the bright light comes on when motion is detected which I like to have enabled when using on the front door. All the customisations are made from the settings on the home screen of the cloud plus app. There are so many things you can adjust to suit your own purposes - sensitivity, human detection, alarm area etc, and the length of each recording can be set at 10, 20 or 30 seconds long.An important factor in how well any of these cameras respond to the app is the strength of wifi signal, and my wifi signal isn't brilliant so the results can be hit and miss when viewing live or trying to watch footage, so sometimes it connects straight away or takes a couple of attempts, but that's down to my wifi depending on where I position the camera. The footage records smoothly on the camera itself and playback is good when the wifi is better, so I'm confident it's the wifi and not the camera to blame when it is temperamental.So back to the beginning, this camera comes with a nice clear instruction book. Set up is simple enough and the camera connected just as it should. You can subscribe to cloud storage but I don't. Everything I need is enabled by inserting a micro SD card. (not provided). The footage is then captured on the SD card, and you can view live or from saved clips on the messages tab of the app, which are organised by date.This camera also has a pan and tilt feature so you can change the position of the camera wherever you are via the app. The movement is smooth and responsive. The motion sensor works well too. I will be connecting the included solar panel to increase the time between charges. If you can position the panel with good light you may not even need to recharge on electric, but again, positioning is a big factor.All in all I'm happy to add this camera to my collection :)

was plesantly surprised on how easy it was to set up. The pan, tilt and zoom are excellent. Battery life so far is more than adequate. Storage of snap shots and videos do not incur any fees, storage on a mini sd card. Remote viewing and operations via app *******. All in all good value for twhe price

Stupidly I waited to see if this would improve and have missed the deadline to return - I didn’t use it until March after buying after waiting for garden improvements - it does not charge up at all via the solar panel - and being left in direct sunlight/ I have now had to remove the cctv off the fixtures numerous times to charge indoors via electricity - very disappointed as it’s not reliable sadly and no option to contact seller

I have been wanting a camera for my garden for some time, but have no mains there and for some time I wasn't convinced that solar powered cameras worked. I saw this discounted and it seems to have good reviews, so thought I'd try it.I was concerned by the small solar panel, but thankfully it works and keeps the camera charged (though you can plug it into the mains which I didn't realise).I messed up my initial installation and put the camera in an area with poor WiFi and it didn't respond well at all. Thankfully I found an installation guide in the app that controls the phone and it helped me find an area with good signal strength, which is essential or it won't work properly otherwise.As others have said, it doesn't automatically track movement, but you can remotely turn it which was all I needed. It will alert when it detects movement and it connects to Alexa which is great for me.I was a little concerned with the weather proofing of it, but the power lead goes in via a rubber grommet on the underside, so I think it will be okay.Picture quality is 2k or SD and it has infra red. You can't easily zoom in, or at least I couldn't. The app has a surprising amount of functionality, though it's yet another one on my phone. I wish they all used the same one.Overall, it did what I wanted and I'm happy with it. A couple of times it has taken a few seconds longer than I want to connect to the camera, but I've had similar problems with my other cameras so that is probably my WiFi.
