Great headset for half the cost of a cardo.
Works just as good as a cardo and paired up to my friends cardo with the press of a button. The range talking between us was pretty good too. Battery life is great I've ridden 550 miles total and only have charged it once. Install was easy. Sound quality is ok obviously it's not super premium quality but it's definitely loud enough to hear over the bike/cars and the quality of music is fairly clear kind of like a pair of headphones that come with a cell phone.

Very good value!
Sound quality & volume is much better than expected, for the price. Fits & removes easily on my helmet. Charges quickly & lasts a very long time, per charge. Intuitive controls & instant Bluetooth connection.

Ok for the money.
Works as advertised but, wiring is a little to be desired. One of my speakers went out due to loose connections.

Very bad quality speakers distortion when playing music
Very bad sound quality turn volume up it really distorted you have to have the volume low to actually hear good but besides that it is expensive for bad quality speakers would not recommend

So far, so good
I haven't had the opportunity to use this a ton yet because of the weather, but when I have it's been great. It didn't have the best instructions in the world, but I managed to figure it out. I had to futz a lot with the part for the helmet interior to get it just right. Mounting the unit on the outside was a little tricky too. Once I got everything worked out the unit worked well. I wouldn't call it great sound (for listening to music), but for speaking voices it's great. It pairs quickly with my phone when I turn it on and the battery hasn't died on my yet. This is going to be great for riding this summer!

Versatile and Nice feature set
I have looked at/used several different helmet headset BT and intercom sets in the past. When it comes to the <$200 range, this one really shines. The feature set is great (intercom, music, music optimization, Siri use, FM radio, and more) and most of all, it has a GREAT user manual and cheat sheet. I am so tired of having to guess at, or decypher horrible or nonexistent manuals to figure out how to use the product. This is especially bad with low cost helmet headsets. This R16 Pro has a very clear and easy to follow manual and an essential function sheet that will have you up and going in no time. Unlike many others, you can use your intercom simultaneously with your music/phone/navigator. The mike and speakers install in your helmet like any other headset of this type. You are somewhat on your own to adjust them to your helmet as all are a little different. You have both an adhesive mount and a clip mount. I really prefer the metal clip mount, especially on curving helmets that don't have a sufficiently large flat spot on the side. The adhesive mounts don't hold that well when put on a curved surface. The clip mount is also good if you want to move between helmets. Speaker audio is good and can be tailored in one of 4 preset sound modes. Mounted correctly, the mike audio is clear and free of noise. One person said he couldn't get Siri, but just follow the manual and use a double click on the 'phone' button. If that doesn't work, check your phone settings as you may have something turned off. The FM radio is adequate, but not stellar with weak distant stations. Where this unit really shines is in its ability to pair with up to 9 other R16's. This is really great if you ride with a group and you can convince them to get R16's. Otherwise you can only link to one unit of another manufacturer at a time. Some other brands can be finicky when trying to pair with another brand of intercom/headset. Your mileage may vary here. You will just have to try and see if yours will work. Generally the more expensive and featured ones will not be a problem. I paired with another 'amazon' inexpensive headset ok, but sometimes you have to re-pair it (not the R16) when it sits out of use too long. The construction of the R16 appears weather resistant and of good build. It will be a good addition to your riding gear.

Quite impressive and convenient.
The performance of this helmet BT headset is impressive. The sound quality is clear and crisp, and the multitasking audio feature makes it super convenient during rides. Plus, the range is pretty remarkable. I haven't tested exactly how far it can go, but communication is still possible even if the other person is out of eyesight down the road. However, I did notice that its performance partly depends on the device the person on the other end is using. If their equipment isn't up to par, it can limit the experience, which is a little frustrating. That said, I'm considering picking up another one to lend to my ride partner so we can both have the same seamless communication setup. If you're someone who loves staying connected while cruising on two wheels, this intercom system is definitely worth a shot. It's less expensive than the leading brands, but the quality and performance are just as great.
