If you could use this, you need to purchase!!
I purchased this amazingly large recipe box so I could combine all of my smaller recipe boxes and have 1 rather than 3. This is perfect for what I was looking for. I would have given 5 stars if 1 of the acrylic dividers wasn't broke. Very nice, large and useful item!

Watch your fingers
If it gets moved even slightly, the large lid snaps down. Watch your fingers. The hinges on the back aren’t squared up, that might be part of the reason, but there is no way to adjust that without taking off the hinges and redoing it yourself, and bamboo is a very hard wood to drill little screws in. And redoing the screws might not even fix that problem. So I’m trying to figure out how to keep it wedged open.

Back in the 21st century most families had hand-written recipe cards handed down for decades or they used index card files for addresses and phone numbers. This is a beautiful wooden box with hinges. It comes with a stack of colored index cards and tabs. The cover is see- through glass. Inside there are four glass plates that slide into slots on the inside of the box to create separators.The cards are 3x5 index cards so any cards that size would work.

I love the look of this index card file. The box is beautiful and feels very durable. There are clear inserts, colored cards, and tabbed dividers included. The lid closes great but shifts a bit when pushed. Overall a nice index card box.
