Works well on wood !
Designed to provide grip reducing risk of slips. Easy to apply with self adhesive backing . It does a good job in each of them Worked fine on wooden surface. Its useful but tricky part about such products is you cant say if it will work effectively on which material as with age, roughness or moisture results could vary.

Stick down well, heavy duty
I put this stair edging on only a few treads as a test to make sure the adhesive would stick. I didn’t want to do the entire staircase only to find out it didn’t stay stuck down. It has been about a month and the edging is staying in place. It is kind of a big job to apply these, they really are thick, so a good pair of snips is necessary. The only concern I have, is that when I fold the strip of edging around the front edge of my wood tread, there is excess hanging off the bottom. My stair treads are about a quarter of an inch too narrow. I think I should probably trim off that extra area, or people might snag their socks, or toes, when going up the stairs. So this project is going to take me a bit longer if I need to neatly trim that edge off. But this is in no way the fault of the product, because these fit on other reviewers standard stairs just fine.I did 2 treads, and then thought it would look better if I covered the entire width of the tread, so I’ll have to fix those 2 steps, if I have enough of the product remaining.I believe these are going to be very durable. Prior to getting these, I bought some of the carpet stair treads, but they were worthless because they did not stay attached.

Easy to Apply! Good Fall Protection for Wood Stairs
This stair edging can't be easier to apply. It's great protection against slips and falls on wood stairs either indoors or out.I plan to apply it on my outdoor steps as soon as the weather permits. Right now there is ice and snow outside so I installed it on my basement stairs. Installation is very easy requiring no tools except for some sharp snips. There are two 1.5" wide strips of adhesive covered with tape on the back of the stair edging. Remove the tape and press onto the surface and installation is complete. The ridges on top of the nosing prevent slipping even if the surface is wet.Bottom Line: Easy to apply rubber nosing for stairs. Adhesive holds well on interior stairs. I plan to also use it on an outdoor application and will update the review when that installation is complete. Good product!

Inconsistent quality of the product
My First order of 40 feet worked great. The product was flexible, easy to apply, and had strong adhesive. It has been 2 months since it was applied. It still looks good and there are no issues. The 40 feet was not enough to cover all steps, so I ordered another 20 feet. My second order of 20 feet was pretty much 20 feet of crap. It was very rigid and almost impossible to apply. The adhesive would not stick, and the worst part is that the product is cracking along the thread edge when the product is bent. It is very frustrating and a waste of my time and money.
