Bad product

I purchased this unit as a fly tying bench and it should be noted that I have not yet used the height-adjust feature. My review is for the general assembly and quality of the product aside from the electronics. The bench is thoughtfully packaged with all hardware segregated and clearly labeled. The instructions are easy to read and following along a logical order of assembly. Included is an Allen wrench but the unit also needs a medium sized Phillips Head screw driver (not included). I would suggest one with a longer handle as it gives it a little better torque and reach; perhaps in the 8" range. The leg assembly is first and was well designed. All holes are pre drilled and there are alignment pins to help keep parts perpendicular when they should be. There are 4 wooden dowels used to attach the two pieces used to make the table top and they were a bit too loose of a fit in my opinion and I added some glue (which is not included with the product) to help stabilize the joint. Additional hardware used would likely have attached these pieces well enough but I prefer the glue for added insurance. Mounting the electronics and gear mechanism was also easy with pre drilled holes and the 'wiring' harness simply plugs in on sub-unit to another to hook up. I worked very slowly and carefully during assembly and it took about 2 hours from start to finish. If I had to build a second unit now that I did one, the assembly time would probably be well under an hour. Pretty happy with it overall but I'm waiting on a new office chair to arrive so I haven't used the electronics yet. Hopefully they are as good as the base itself, which has received a two-paws up rating from my cat, who immediately tested it as a new napping location.
