My husband and I four weeks ago have become foster parents to a 11 month old Labrador Retriever who suffers from Cerebellum Hypoplasia. This means she cannot walk unaided as her gait is very wobbly. After extensive research I found this full body harness on the internet and after reading the reviews sent for one.This harness has been a real game changer in the care of our lab’s welfare as well ourselves. I cannot speak highly enough about the product. It is well made, the material is strong but very soft for our girl, as we tend to leave her in it all day. It works well with or without the additional straps- we remove these for the majority of the time as she likes to chew them. From an exercise for muscle build up it is fabulous as we just need to give a little support with the additional straps which allows her to walk much further than her previous shoulder only harnesses. It is great for getting her in and out of the car. We have to lift her full body to do this and the harness supports her in an even balance extremely well during the procedure. It also has had a huge positive impact on our backs, in as much as it takes more of the strain when lifting her or manoeuvring her.Another great design feature is that the harness is in two pieces which is great for washing. As for the main part of her mobility she drags herself around on her belly, therefore it is usually only the under piece of the harness which gets dirty so that can be removed and washed separately.As you can see by my review I would high recommend this product and will be sending for a second one. Our Labrador is approximately 16kgs quite lean with a long body. With the measurement guide we purchased the large size.

Great quality, fits lovely with plenty of adjustments available. Sturdy and easy to handle. Has really helped our older dog and us !!

Takes the weight really well and secure safe clips - one negative is the Pee Pee hole, as it's not in the right place for my Boy (he has a very tiny winky), hence we've had a lot of Washing of the bottom section but easily washes, so we're managing...

The harness/support appeared to be really good quality but sadly it didn't anywhere near fit. Our dog has an incredibly deep chest but very narrow waist and neck. We purchased the xxl size based upon the chest size which would have been fine except the neck and waist fitting would only reduce on adjustment down to what I imagine would be overweight Labrador size. Really disappointed as this seemed to be the answer to a double cruciate injury that needed the weight taken off the back legs until her surgery.

This was extremely helpful when our 40kg dog had a mini stroke, don’t know how we would have managed without it. Easy to put on and comfortable for our dog

Although it should have fitted. I measured correctly. It did not fit properly too long underneath. My dog could not wee in it. It was also not balanced needs a support around legs or tail.

This harness is absolutely excellent. My 14yr old girl has been having a couple of seizures and I purchased this to support her downstairs. The quality is excellent. I only wish this had been available when we had our disabled lab. Thank you for the reassurance of my girls safety with your product.

I liked that you can alter the length of all the straps to fit your dog, there are a lot of them. I also liked that all the other bits are well padded, but mostly the long padded under tummy support. It was just what I was looking for as my dog currently needs support until she is well again. (She had an accident and is learning to walk again). It is very sturdy and will probably last the whole life of your dog. I bought a small for my small dachshund which was unfortunately too long under the tummy so returning it. If they start to make a smaller size I will buy it. I recommend this product.

I ordered a XXL for my 11 yr GSD, length a tad long, hit right ontop of his penis (that hole is useless),it was bulky when supporting him.His measurements are between XXL & XL. I then ordered XL to compare, much better fit.His length-shoulder to belly16",neck 26",bellyRnd 30", chest 35", weight 98# (he's lean). I would go on the smaller side if your dogs measures between 2 sizes.These are well made,very handy vests,easy to adjust the straps and Velcro,nice padding,definitely a must for older dogs who need a little Xtra love and help doing those stairs.When my dog saw me with it in hand,he immediately knew it was for him (shrug?) took off and kept walking away from me... didn't have any problem walking fast then! We got a good laugh! I guess he's embarrassed to wear it.
