Liked the thickness for heavier soles!

Air Jordan 1s are notorious for having very severe heel drag. It’s just due to the structure of the heel. It’s literally a 90 degree block of rubber. I don’t drag my heels nor do I not pick up my foot but I get very bad heel drag. These heel pads have very good adhesive and will add more life into your AJ1s. I wore them in the rain and they do not budge. Time will tell how long they will last but so far, very impressed.UPDATE: Started using these since November 2022. I have updated my post with new pictures. This is from over 6 months of wearing my AJ1 every weekday. These pads definitely held up strong. Well worth the price. I have already applied new ones at the time of writing this.

The enemy to sneakers and Jordan shoe lovers, especially Jordan 1’s, is heel drag. The installation is pretty simple and they stick on fairly well. Time will only tell how long they’ll stay on until heel dragged off, but the grip is pretty good. On that note, my god the wipes it comes with smell ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. The chemical smell is so strong that lingered in my room and I had to open a windows. I had a headache for a few hours thanks to it. I do NOT recommend the wipes. Just give a good cleaning scrub of your shoe heels and it’s good enough for the adhesive to stick. As long as there’s no big clumps of dirt, it’ll stick just fine, or better yet, just get any disinfect wipe and it’ll work the same. It’ll spare the literal headache.

Product showed some merit. Easy to prep and clean with included pad. Easy to peel and apply the protector and for about 2 days worked well. But then it started to peel up. Not from the show, but the glue/tape on the protector itself started to separate on both shoes. If this company could find a way to have the pre-approved adhesive stick to their own protector as good as it stuck to the show, it would be perfect. But alas, these don't work well if they peel up after a few days of casual use. Since both shoes began to show this peeling behavior at the same time, I don't think it was a fluke. I have not yet tried attaching the second set as I pretty sure they will behave the same way. The glue is strong, but only in attaching to the show itself.Wish I could give it more stars, but even moreso wish they worked.

Ease of install....will help shoes last

I always wear down the heel first. Shoes last longer and look better with these heel protectors.

For starters, the product was too small. It didn't adequately cover the heel area. After treating the shoe sole with a prepping compound, the instructions are to allow the bond to cure for 48 hours. I did so, adding clamps to insure a tight fit. I even let the shoe cure an extra day. But all this effort was pretty much wasted, because in about a week's time, the rubber pad began peeling off.

I do a lot of long neighborhood walks, +20 miles per week and one set lasted well over a month. No problems with adhesion of protectors to sole of the shoe. Saving a lot of money on walking shoes!
