Bridesmaid by Chance (Bridesmaid for Hire, 3) Review: Definitely spicy and laugh out lloud - I don't do reviews really, but I thought this one deserved it. I will preface this by saying I didn't read them in order. This one was my first in the series, but man, if the others are anything like this, I'm thrilled to read them next. Spicy 🌶🌶🌶🌶/5 (if not 5/5) in my opinion, but everyone's level of and idea of spice is different depending on their preferred trophs and genres. So again, that's just my opinion. I don't like when the spicy scenes are overriden with dirty talk and this was just the right amount, amongst other detailed descriptions that definitely had me fanning myself and reaching for a glass of water quite a few times haha. And comedic relief, omg I legit had my head phones in and laughed out loud at quite a lot of the conversations and thoughts going on, getting interesting looks from my kids, husband, and strangers alike. And the audio book was perfection! 😗🤌💋 I read and listened to the audioversion while reading so I could multitask at times. I literally felt like I was a fly on the wall eavesdropping in on the characters' conversations. I love when they actually use the different characters' voices in each person's perspective/chapter. I prefer it honestly, because it makes it all the more real, and how I would read it in my head. I look for separation like that when I research audiobooks. I don't care for when the girl deepens her voice to pretend to be the guy in her perspective, and vice versa with the guy. It's the most common/popular thing I come across in audio versions unfortunately, so I'm used to it, but this was spot on with the narrators. I've already made a note to look for them in more books, hoping they do it for those books as well. They did amazing at portraying the characters and changing the voices for each one in the story, including the accents, making it all the more real to read. The plot was great, loaded with drama, laughs, spicy, and a HEA. It played out like a romcom movie in my head, and I would totally watch it if they made it into one! Definitely looking forward to reading the others and more from this author! Review: Enjoyed it - 4.5 Bridesmaid By Chance is a fake relationship rrom-com and the 3rd book in the Bridesmaid series. This is Hudson and Sloane's story and I enjoyed it. Sloane was a fun, energetic and at times quirky and was exactly what Hudson needed in his workaholic life. We got humor, embarrassing moments, insane chemistry and tension, scorching hot scenes, banter, family dynamics and so much more. This fun flirty tale held my attention from start to finish and had all my favorite tropes included. It was a wonderful addition to the series and I would recommend it to romance lovers. 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 The audiobook was narrated in duet by Jason Clarke and Vanessa Edwin. They were the perfect choices to portray Hudson and Sloane and they made them come to life. They brought out the vulnerabilities and insecurities and you could feel every ounce of emotion they went through. They made the light hearted moments leap off the page and really made the listening experience an enjoyable one.

Sloane can be my bridesmaid any day!
Bridesmaid by Chance by Meghan Quinn is book 3 in the Bridesmaid series. This was one of my anticipated reads of 2025 and it did not disappoint! There is something about a Meghan Quinn rom-com that draws me into the world. They’re spicy and hilarious and full of love. I listen to all her books on audiobook as I read and if you haven’t listened to her catalog on audio… correct this error immediately! The narrators are always perfectly cast in each of her stories and there is not one book that I am not outwardly laughing as I read/listen. Book 3 in the Bridesmaid series follows along with Hudson and Sloane and this pairing…. Damn. Perfection. He’s the grumpy to her sunshine. She’s the chaos to his calm. He’s her boss. She’s his best friend and business partner’s sister. And they enter into a marriage of convenience. What could go wrong?? Or the better question - will anything go right? Fake dating/marriage of convenience will always have a chokehold on me in every book I read. Throw in the fact that he is 13 years her senior and the age gap brings some extra zest to the story. Sloane has the perfect amount of sarcasm and nervous rambling that this FMC alone had me laughing throughout so much of this book. Hudson is not a perfect MMC and he’s very self aware of that, but his protectiveness and possessiveness. Hot damn. And really through all his faults and idiotic actions, he’s sole motivation is rooted in taking care of the people he loves. I truly loved this book. Loved this audio. Shout out to Jason Clarke and Vanessa Edwin for being so talented in this one. The range of emotions they both brought into this story and these characters. All the praise to them. Side-note: Sloane’s character won me over with her dislike of tomatoes alone! “Actually that sounds like a great idea. I trust you. As long as there are no raw tomatoes, then we’re golden.” “Not a fan of tomatoes?” he asks. “I mean, I like ketchup and spaghetti sauce and sun-dried tomatoes, but if you keep them raw…” I shiver. “Vile.” “That’s pretty harsh.” “It’s the truth.” And I agree Sloane. I agree. lol 5⭐️ 3🌶️

Bridesmaid By Chance is my fourth Meghan Quinn book this year and my third in the month of April... and it gets five shiny stars! Okay, yes, this book is hilarious, sexy as hell, and fun... but it also truly shocked me with its emotional depth! Hudson is strong, takes charge, and is business first... but his type A personality is really his downfall! Watching his growth after Sloane comes into his life was so delightful to watch! I loved the back and forth of their relationship and that fine line between love and hate! I haven't read too many marriage of convenience troped romances, but this one worked really well for these modern times, with a little play on the regency era! And speaking of play - that subtle nod to Vivian's brown and polka dot dress was so well done because that moment truly had all the Pretty Womam vibes! Jason Clarke and Vanessa Edwin did a phenomenal job with their audiobook narration! Just turn to chapter seven to experience how amazing Clarke is as he perfectly switched his voice between two male characters! Edwin sounded young and fun, fitting Sloane's personality perfectly! Okay, so you see what I mean, right? This one was all the things I've come to love and expect from Quinn, yet seemed to have even more emotional depth than her other books!

Sloane is 13 yrs younger and certainly livened up his drab existence! Hudson tried to say no but good thing Sloane got her way! She only had to ask him to marry her to get him to loosen up! A laugh out loud good time with all the feels !

The ending made it go from a 4⭐️ to a 3⭐️ I loved Sloane and the banter they had. And her inner thoughts were hilarious. Some of the embarassing parts were a bit too much, but what was to be expected from Meghan Quinn in this series. But how Hudson turned into an insecure, whiny man at the end was a real turn off. All in all, a nice in-between book to read.
